Cotopaxi Allpa packs: sizes, Del Día and product details
Compare Cotopaxi Allpa capacities, redesign details, Del Día color options, materials, airline notes and warranty scope by product and market.
Cotopaxi sells travel packs alongside daypacks and carry gear
Cotopaxi's Allpa line spans travel packs, a smaller travel mini, daypacks, hip packs and larger travel gear. Start with the product family and intended pack type, then compare model capacity and exact variant; an Allpa name alone does not identify a suitcase-style travel pack.

| Catalog branch | Cotopaxi examples | Keep distinct |
|---|---|---|
| Travel packs | Allpa 28L, 35L, 42L and 50L Adventure | Capacity, generation, dimensions and airline label. |
| Smaller travel bags | Allpa Mini 20L, Allpa 18L and 26L Daypacks | Do not assign the travel pack's harness or carry-on data by family name. |
| Other travel gear | Allpa Getaway duffels, hip packs, organizers and roller bags | A bundle or matching accessory is a separate product record. |
| Colorway | Standard seasonal colors, Del Día or Del Día Dark | Color identity may change how a one-of-a-kind product is selected. |
Separate the redesigned Allpa from earlier generations
Cotopaxi's FAQ says the Allpa 28L, 35L and 42L were redesigned from 2025. It lists a front zip pocket, revised back panel, air-mesh shoulder straps, a tuckable hip belt, roller-bag pass-through and exterior bottle pocket among the changes. Store the model generation with the feature list; older Allpa pages and product photos can describe a different build.

| Generation evidence | Cotopaxi's description | Record handling |
|---|---|---|
| Model scope | FAQ names the 28L, 35L and 42L redesign | Keep generation and publication region with model name. |
| Harness and access | Improved back panel, air-mesh straps and a tuckable waist strap | Do not copy older removable-belt or harness descriptions forward. |
| Travel features | Front pocket, luggage pass-through and exterior stretch bottle pocket | Attach each feature to the redesigned models named by Cotopaxi. |
| Materials | FAQ describes a recycled, TPU-coated nylon front panel | Prefer the exact product's current shell and lining fields for composition. |
| Historical evidence | FAQ notes earlier colored TPU over a white nylon panel | Keep as a prior-generation explanation, not a current variant value. |
Allpa capacity and airline badges answer different questions
The October 3, 2026 U.S. travel-collection snapshot uses different seller labels by model: 28L is personal-item approved, 35L is carry-on approved, and 42L and 50L are carry-on approved for domestic travel with a check-with-airline footnote. Cotopaxi also labels 28L for quick trips, 35L for week-long trips, 42L for extended trips, and 50L as a 2-in-1 pack. Those are seller labels, not universal baggage rules or a guarantee that a loaded pack fits a carrier sizer.

| Model and U.S. collection evidence | Cotopaxi badge or trip copy | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Allpa 28L | TSA Ready Personal Item Approved; “Great for quick trips.” | Use the target airline’s current personal-item dimensions; the seller badge is not a carrier guarantee. |
| Allpa 35L | TSA Ready Carry-On Approved; “Great for week-long trips.” | The current collection card has no domestic-only footnote for this badge; check the airline’s current size rules. |
| Allpa 42L | TSA Ready Carry-On Approved* (Domestic only. Check with airline); “Great for extended trips.” | Preserve the domestic-only footnote; it is not universal carry-on acceptance. |
| Allpa 50L Adventure | TSA Ready Carry-On Approved* (Domestic only. Check with airline); “A 2-in-1 pack for every segment of travel.” | The collection supplies no dimensions in this card; do not infer a fit from capacity or marketing copy. |
| Capacity and trip copy | 28L/quick trips; 35L/week-long; 42L/extended; 50L/2-in-1 | Trip-length language is separate from measured capacity and airline rules. |
Material fields change by model, variant and store page
A Cotopaxi pack should not inherit one brand-wide fabric description. The U.S. Allpa 28L listing separates two shell layers and a lining but displays a conflicting weight/unit pair. The U.S. 35L Del Día page provides a dated indexed listing example, while the Canadian standard 42L page supplies a separate current regional record; keep product generation, colorway and storefront attached to each value.
Scroll to compare →
| Exact product page | Published fields | Safe comparison |
|---|---|---|
| Allpa 28L standard — U.S. | The product listing reports 19 × 12 × 9 in / 48 × 30 × 23 cm and both 2 lb 8 oz and 1.02 kg; shell 1: recycled 840D TPU-coated nylon; shell 2: recycled 840D ballistic ripstop nylon with PFAS-free C0 DWR + PU backing; lining: recycled ripstop polyester. | The displayed weight units do not convert to one another. Preserve the literal source values and keep the two shell fields, finish and lining separate. |
| Allpa 35L Del Día — U.S. listing example | Cotopaxi’s product listing states 35L, 22 × 12 × 10 in and 2 lb 7 oz; the Del Día description identifies one-of-a-kind remnant fabric. The indexed listing was about three weeks old when checked October 3, 2026. | Keep this dated example with the Del Día listing; it is not a live selected variant, price or stock observation and should not be generalized to every 35L colorway. |
| Allpa 42L standard — Canada | The Canadian listing gives 100% recycled 840D TPU-coated nylon shell, recycled 840D ballistic ripstop nylon shell, recycled ripstop polyester lining, 42L, 22 × 14 × 11 in / 56 × 36 × 27 cm, and 3 lb 2 oz / 1.41 kg. | Keep the Canadian storefront, standard color selector and CAD market context attached; do not use its offer as a U.S. offer. |
| Measured protection | Product-specific material text describes water-resistant treatment; Cotopaxi’s FAQ says it does not currently carry waterproof products. | Do not promote a coating or DWR as a waterproof rating or guarantee. |
Del Día changes how the exact color of a pack is known
Cotopaxi describes standard Allpa colors as planned seasonal colorways and Del Día as one-of-a-kind combinations made with leftover fabric. Current U.S. product cards vary: some show “Choose Color,” others “Surprise Me”; the help article says customers cannot request a custom fabric combination. Del Día Dark uses leftover black fabrics, but the exact appearance is still a surprise. Record the product’s selector and selected option instead of inferring the delivered pack from a collection label.

| Variant family | Source description | Useful record fields |
|---|---|---|
| Standard colorway | Named seasonal colors selected for a production run. | Capture the displayed color, size/capacity, model generation and selected variant. |
| Del Día | One-of-a-kind deadstock/remnant fabric; U.S. collection cards may show “Choose Color” or “Surprise Me” depending on the listing. | Store the listing’s actual selection mode and any selected existing pack/color; do not imply every listing works the same way. |
| Del Día Dark | Leftover black fabrics; Cotopaxi says the specific appearance is a surprise. | Keep “Dark” separate from a named standard color; record Surprise Me when that is the chosen option. |
| Custom color request | Cotopaxi’s help article says it cannot accept requests for custom color combinations; some listings distinguish a pre-created choice from a surprise pack. | Do not turn a shopper preference into a seller-confirmed variant or promised color. |
| Construction | FAQ language contrasts standard and Del Día panels and separately dates Allpa redesign changes from 2025. | Attach construction to exact model generation; do not carry an older panel description forward. |
Water resistance and rain-cover availability are version-specific
Cotopaxi's help FAQ says the company does not currently carry waterproof products and describes most products as water resistant. The updated Allpa FAQ says a separate rain cover can be purchased as needed because the pack's materials are water resistant. Capture the exact coating or DWR treatment and whether a cover is included from the selected product page; do not turn resistance to light rain into a waterproof claim.
Scroll to compare →
| Field | Cotopaxi evidence | Do not infer |
|---|---|---|
| Water rating | Water resistant coating/finish appears on product pages and FAQ | A waterproof rating or submersion protection. |
| Rain cover | The redesign FAQ says it is sold separately | That a prior-generation included cover is part of a current model. |
| Surface material | The Allpa 28L page identifies TPU coating and C0 DWR/PU backing for named shell layers | Identical finish or performance across Del Día, standard and other models. |
| Evidence level | Seller description and named materials | Independent lab certification unless the exact page provides it. |
Cotopaxi warranty and U.S. returns use separate eligibility rules
Cotopaxi’s current U.S.-facing Guaranteed for Good page contains two different return windows: its U.S.-orders block says 30 days, while a lower general policy block says 60 days. The page does not reconcile those statements, so preserve the conflict and verify the live return flow. The separate U.S. warranty covers manufacturing defects for a product’s functional lifetime, which Cotopaxi says is not indefinite and is limited by published exclusions and purchase-channel scope.
Scroll to compare →
| Policy path | Cotopaxi's published terms | Record separately |
|---|---|---|
| U.S. orders block — Guaranteed for Good page | Within 30 days of purchase; Puerto Rico excluded; tags intact, unworn and unwashed; final-sale items excluded. November/December purchases have a separate January 31 deadline. | This is one source block on the U.S.-facing page; do not merge it with the separate 60-day block below. |
| Lower general returns block on the same page | Within 60 days of purchase; tags intact, items unwashed and in excellent condition; the text says full refund. | The page gives no precedence or reconciliation. Preserve the source block and its 60-day wording as a conflict, not an alternative guaranteed policy. |
| U.S. refund method in the orders block | Exchanges and store-credit refunds are free; original-payment refunds deduct a $5 restocking fee. | Capture refund path and source block; do not apply the fee to warranty remedies. |
| Limited warranty — policy last updated February 1, 2026 | Manufacturing defects are covered for the product’s functional lifetime, which is an estimate rather than an indefinite period; Cotopaxi considers product type/material/use, issue and age. | Keep warranty claim date, seller/purchase provenance and defect type separate from a return request. |
| Warranty limits and route | The policy excludes cosmetic wear, normal/field damage and several accidental causes; U.S. limited warranty scope is direct Cotopaxi purchase or selected authorized U.S. retailers, subject to law. Collaborations follow the other brand’s policy. | Do not label ordinary wear as a manufacturing defect or apply U.S. claims handling to an international purchase. |
Offer and availability records need the Cotopaxi storefront
Cotopaxi says switching the site's country can change price, currency, shipping options and product availability. The Terms also reserve the right to change prices, product descriptions and specifications without notice. Store a dated offer against the exact model, variant and regional storefront rather than treating one collection card as a global price or stock signal.
Scroll to compare →
| Observation | Capture with it | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Currency, region, selected model/color and observation time | A country switch can change currency and offer. |
| Availability | Exact product handle, capacity, colorway and storefront | A collection-level product can exist while one selected variant is unavailable. |
| Dimensions and weight | Units, product generation, market and standard/Del Día status | A localized page may expose a different exact variant or presentation. |
| Carry-on label | Quoted badge and its footnote | The 42L and 50L badges are marked domestic-only and say to check with the airline. |
| Bundle | Pack and accessory components as separate items | A bundle offer does not change the standalone pack's SKU or specifications. |
Cotopaxi's Terms address automated collection and site data
The U.S. Terms say users may not use the site or services for data mining, robots or similar data-gathering and extraction tools; the same clause also refers to collecting or harvesting information about other site users. A separate clause prohibits bypassing access measures, and the Terms reserve changes to prices, offers, content, descriptions and specifications without notice. The page shows no general Terms update date; its September 21, 2023 date is for the separate Mobile Terms subsection.

| Source statement | Relevant record practice | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Data-gathering clause | The posted Terms name data mining, robots or similar data-gathering and extraction tools. | Attribute the wording to the inspected U.S. Terms; do not turn it into a robots.txt permission statement. |
| Other-user information | The same Terms clause also names collecting or harvesting information about other site users. | Keep this phrase visible; do not summarize the clause as a product-catalog-only restriction. |
| Access controls and changing facts | A separate clause prohibits bypassing measures used to prevent or restrict access; another section says offers and catalog facts may change without notice. | Do not infer access, API availability or a permanent product fact from a visible page. |
| Date boundary | No clear general revision date is shown for the main Terms text; “Last updated: Sept. 21, 2023” belongs to the separate Mobile Terms section. | Do not attribute the Mobile Terms date to the general U.S. Terms. |
