Shopee Brand Portal data: sales, marketing and store insights
Understand Shopee Brand Portal sales, marketing, operations and consumer insights, how they differ from Seller Centre and Brand IP Protection, and what reports can prove.
Shopee Brand Portal is a brand analytics workspace
Shopee’s Marketing Solutions FAQ says the Marketing Solutions Portal was replaced by Shopee Brand Portal effective 15 April 2022. It describes the portal as a brand workspace for sales, marketing, operational and consumer data/insights, including store and online marketing performance.

| Shopee surface | Official description | Keep separate |
|---|---|---|
| Shopee Brand Portal | Brand-oriented store and on-/off-platform marketing performance and insights. | The FAQ describes purpose and categories, not a public report feed. |
| Shopee Seller Centre | Day-to-day seller operations, marketing campaigns and overall store performance. | Account operations belong to the seller workspace. |
| Brand IP Protection | A separate offering for reporting intellectual-property infringement. | Do not transfer Brand IP Portal terms or protections to Brand Portal analytics. |
The FAQ names four analytics categories, not a field schema
The public FAQ identifies broad areas of data and insights but does not define a complete metric dictionary, report dimensions, time windows, exports or API contract. Keep a measure attached to the exact account-visible report and its displayed scope rather than filling gaps with inferred fields.

| Category named by Shopee | What the public FAQ establishes | What remains report-specific |
|---|---|---|
| Sales | Sales data and insights are part of the Brand Portal scope. | Metric definition, store/market scope, period and aggregation. |
| Marketing | The portal covers marketing activities and insights, on-site and off-site. | Campaign, channel, attribution label and selected reporting period. |
| Operations | Operations data/insights are included in the broad portal description. | Exact report, field list and relationship to Seller Centre operations. |
| Consumer data and insights | Shopee names consumer data and insights as a category. | Do not infer identifiable buyer records or customer-level fields. |
Brand Portal and Seller Centre answer different questions
Shopee distinguishes Brand Portal’s brand and marketing performance view from Seller Centre’s daily store operations. A Brand Portal report does not by itself establish a product-level price, public listing state or Seller Centre order event.

| Research question | Relevant Shopee surface | Record context |
|---|---|---|
| Brand/store marketing performance | Brand Portal, where the brand account has access. | Brand/store, market, channel, report name and selected period. |
| Product, order or fulfillment operation | Seller Centre for the seller’s own account. | Seller shop, product/order identity, status and event time as shown. |
| Shopper-facing item and offer | The local public product listing. | Exact listing, selected option, market, displayed amount and observation time. |
Access depends on seller type, account and selected solution
Shopee’s FAQ says official store/Mall sellers may use existing Brand Portal credentials or reset a password, while non-official sellers should use Seller Centre to manage and track campaign performance. It also says some marketing solutions depend on qualification and selected-market availability; do not promise global or uniform access.

| FAQ path | Shopee guidance | Record boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Official store/Mall seller | Use existing credentials or the password-reset path if Brand Portal has not been used. | The workflow is tied to the seller account; it does not imply an external data feed. |
| Non-official seller | Use Seller Centre for campaign management and tracking. | Do not assume Brand Portal access for every seller. |
| Marketing solution | Some solutions are limited by seller qualification or market availability. | Check the exact account and local program rather than applying a global eligibility rule. |
Keep on-platform and off-platform results distinct
Shopee’s FAQ describes Brand Portal as covering online marketing activity across on-site and off-site channels. It separately documents a Seller Centre path to view off-platform traffic under Data → Business Insights → Marketing → Traffic Tools. Preserve the source surface and attribution definition with each observed figure.

| Channel context | What Shopee documents | Comparison treatment |
|---|---|---|
| On-site activity | On-platform marketing and store activity are in the portal’s stated scope. | Keep platform/channel, campaign, report and period with the metric. |
| Off-site activity | Shopee names off-platform activity and a Seller Centre Business Insights traffic path. | Keep off-platform traffic separate from on-platform ad delivery or store sales. |
| Attribution and outcome | The public FAQ does not define a complete attribution model or field schema. | Do not equate impressions, clicks, traffic, attributed sales and total store sales. |
