SwitchBot product data: devices, hubs and compatibility
Compare SwitchBot products by native or bridged Matter, hub model and capacity, device-specific platform support, physical fit, pack quantity and add-ons.
Separate native Matter from Matter over Bridge
SwitchBot documents two connection paths. The path and required hardware belong to the exact product and platform combination; the word Matter by itself does not say whether a SwitchBot bridge is needed.

| Connection path | Current SwitchBot example | What to keep distinct |
|---|---|---|
| Matter over Wi-Fi | SwitchBot’s International Matter page lists products including the S10, K10+ Pro Combo and Air Purifier as supporting Matter natively without a SwitchBot Hub. | Record the exact device model and its native connection path. A compatible Matter platform controller may still be part of setup, and platform feature support can vary. |
| Matter over Bridge | The SwitchBot Device Matter Compatibility help page lists Curtain 3 as a Matter-over-Bridge product and names Hub Mini Matter Enabled, Hub 2, Hub 3 and AI Hub among the SwitchBot bridge devices. | Keep the accessory, SwitchBot bridge model and third-party platform controller as separate compatibility links. Do not treat the accessory as natively Wi-Fi Matter. |
| Product-page versus support-page detail | Curtain 3’s product page specifically names Hub 2, sold separately, for Matter and Apple HomeKit integration; the current support matrix lists additional bridge models. | Attribute each claim to the page that states it and retain the help matrix’s platform/feature variability note when comparing integrations. |
Compare hub generations by stated capacity and controls
SwitchBot’s Help Center comparison makes hub generation a functional distinction, not just a product-name suffix. Capacities and controls below are the values in its current comparison table.
Scroll to compare →
| Hub model | Support-listed distinction | Comparison boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Hub Mini | The table lists infrared remote control but no Matter function and no synchronized sub-devices for third-party services such as Apple or Google. | Do not infer Matter or third-party sub-device bridging from the word Hub in the product name. |
| Hub Mini Matter Enabled | The table lists Matter and a four-sub-device synchronization limit. Temperature and humidity are supported only with a dedicated charging cord containing a sensor. | Keep the four-device capacity and optional sensor cord attached to this hub model. |
| Hub 2 | The table lists Matter, up to eight synchronized sub-devices, temperature/humidity and light sensors, touch scene operation and offline infrared control. | Separate the Hub 2’s listed built-in sensors and controls from compatible devices that it bridges. |
| Hub 3 | The table lists Matter and up to 30 synchronized sub-devices, with touch scenes, offline infrared control, Bluetooth remote, motion and weather features. CO₂ status requires a separate CO₂ monitor; lock status requires linkage with a Lock product. | Treat capacity as the source’s third-party synchronization count, not as a promise about every device or platform. Preserve the separate-device prerequisites. |
Keep curtain track, pack count and add-ons separate
Curtain 3 illustrates why physical compatibility and package identity matter alongside app integrations. Its listing offers distinct track styles and device counts, while some accessories and control functions are separately sold or hub-dependent.

| Selection detail | Curtain 3 example | Useful comparison grain |
|---|---|---|
| Track fit | The product selector offers Rod Type 1, U Rail and an I Rail accessory option, whose label limits I Rail accessory compatibility to U Rail 3. SwitchBot’s compatibility guide separately asks buyers to check rail type and dimensions. | Store rail style and any required accessory separately from the device model; do not infer fit from a generic curtain-rail label. |
| Pack count and paired curtains | The listing offers 1-, 2- and 4-packs and says a curtain that opens in the middle needs two units. | Keep purchasable pack quantity distinct from the number of units needed for a given opening layout. |
| Solar and smart-home add-ons | The product page identifies Solar Panel 3 as sold separately and describes Matter through a separately sold Hub 2; it also lists voice-control integrations through a SwitchBot Hub. | Do not count a separately sold solar panel or hub as included package contents. Tie any integration claim to its stated hub and platform. |
