Speediance smart-gym data: resistance, packages and fit
Compare Gym Monster models by per-arm resistance, folded footprint, package contents, attachments, software requirements and model-specific warranty terms.
Gym Monster generations and equipment packages
Speediance’s Gym Monster page combines generation, package contents and optional care in one purchase flow. Those are separate comparison dimensions: the machine model identifies the hardware, the package identifies what is included, and optional products or coverage do not become part of the base unit.

| Selection dimension | Official-page example | Comparison boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Hardware generation | The product page distinguishes Gym Monster 2 from Gym Monster 2S; its spec list gives different single-arm maxima for the two models. | Keep model generation and per-arm rating with the exact product listing. |
| Equipment package | The selector lists Basic, Works, Works Plus and Family Plus, with separate 2S package choices; the site has a dedicated package comparison. | Capture the selected package’s actual included bench and attachment set; a package name or product image alone does not define every box. |
| Optional accessory or care plan | The product page presents Speediance Care and add-on equipment separately from the package selector. | Keep add-on hardware, extended coverage and any Wellness+ benefit outside the base machine and included bundle. |
| Manual identity | The support library provides separate Gym Monster 2 and 2S manuals, as well as accessory guides. | Link setup/specification details to the matching model or attachment manual. |
Per-arm resistance and folded room footprint
Capacity labels can describe a single arm, the combined machine or an adjustment step. Record the exact label and unit rather than collapsing different measures into one resistance figure.

| Specification | Reviewed Gym Monster 2 page example | Record with the value |
|---|---|---|
| Per-arm maximum | The technical table lists 110 lb for Gym Monster 2 and 130 lb for Gym Monster 2S per arm. | Model, single-arm basis and unit; do not turn this into a total rating. |
| Total and adjustment step | The product FAQ says the two-motor machine has a 220 lb / 100 kg maximum and changes in 1 lb / 0.5 kg increments. | Retain the FAQ’s machine-level wording and increment as separate fields from each model’s per-arm maximum. |
| Precision label | The specification table separately labels “Digital Weight Precision” as 8 lb, while the FAQ lists 1 lb / 0.5 kg weight increments. | Keep the source label and source URL. The reviewed page does not reconcile precision with step size. |
| Folded and unfolded footprint | The page lists 48.03 × 27.16 × 72.83 in unfolded and 14.56 × 27.16 × 72.83 in folded, with about 9.04 and 2.69 ft² respectively; product weight is 171.96 lb. | Preserve state, dimensions, area and product weight with their units for room-planning comparisons. |
App support and component-level warranty coverage
Connected features and service terms can differ from the base hardware specification. The warranty details below reflect the policy last updated 3 August 2026 and may vary by region.

| Condition | Published detail | Comparison scope |
|---|---|---|
| App support | The Gym Monster 2 page lists iOS and Android support for the Speediance app. | Record the stated operating-system families separately from hardware specifications. |
| Main unit and cable warranty | The current Warranty Policy lists Gym Monster Series complete-unit coverage excluding cable at 24 months, and cable coverage at 12 months. | Keep cable coverage separate from the main unit and date the policy observation. |
| Eligibility and regional service | The policy specifies purchase through official or authorized channels and personal or household use; it says service may not be available in some regions. | Attach purchase channel, intended-use category and region to a warranty observation; do not imply identical coverage worldwide. |
| Accessory coverage | The policy lists accessories separately from the Gym Monster main unit and gives accessories a 12-month period. | Identify the accessory itself and its own coverage instead of inheriting the machine warranty. |
