Sephora product data: shades, sizes and offer context
Compare Sephora product families by parent page, selected shade, size and SKU. Keep market price, Beauty Insider benefits, Auto-Replenish and store pickup as separate offer contexts.
Connect Sephora's product family to the selected shade and size
A Sephora product page can group several colors, undertones, sizes or formats. Preserve the parent page and the selected option together; a shade label or image alone is not a complete item identity, and Sephora says displayed color can vary by monitor.

| Record field | What the source may show | How to keep it interpretable |
|---|---|---|
| Parent product | Brand, product name and P-number in the product URL | Use the page identifier to group the family without merging its selected items. |
| Selected option | Color or shade name, undertone wording when shown, size or format | Retain Sephora's displayed text and selected state; do not treat a swatch as a calibrated color measurement. |
| Variant identity | A selected skuId in the URL or an item identifier shown on the page | Keep the exact identifier with the selected option; do not infer identifiers for sibling shades or sizes. |
| Product details | Current description, ingredients or other product attributes | Keep the source URL and review date because Sephora's Terms say product information may be inaccurate, incomplete or not current. |
Keep storefront price separate from Beauty Insider value
The product page amount, a member's points and an order's eligible spend describe different things. Sephora's Terms scope U.S. and Canadian storefront prices separately, while Beauty Insider earning depends on a fulfilled merchandise order and member identification.

| Observation | Sephora-specific context | Keep it separate from |
|---|---|---|
| U.S. storefront price | Sephora.com prices are in U.S. dollars and effective only in the United States, according to the Terms. | Canadian prices, store prices or a completed checkout total. |
| Canadian storefront price | Sephora.ca prices are in Canadian dollars and effective only in Canada, according to the Terms. | U.S. amounts or a different market's selected item. |
| Points earned | The posted Beauty Insider terms award one point per U.S. or Canadian dollar of fulfilled merchandise when the member identifies the account. | An estimate based only on a public shelf price or an order not yet fulfilled. |
| Eligible spend and account state | Gift cards, event tickets, taxes and shipping are excluded from merchandise spend; points from a cancelled order may be removed. Account balance and activity are shown in the member profile. | A public product field, universal cash discount or another member's balance. |
Treat Auto-Replenish as a conditional subscription offer
Auto-Replenish is available to Beauty Insider members on selected Sephora.com products in the U.S. and Canada. Its recurring amount and cadence belong to a scheduled order, not to the ordinary one-time product price. Sephora's posted terms were last updated 14 March 2024.

| Subscription field | What Sephora's terms say | Comparison context |
|---|---|---|
| Eligibility | Beauty Insider membership and a product marked eligible are required. | Do not assume every shade, size, product or account has the offer. |
| Delivery area | The terms describe delivery to the contiguous United States and Canada, with free shipping. | Keep subscription delivery separate from other destinations and order channels. |
| Cadence and next shipment | The member selects the cadence; the subscription price may change with notice. | Record the selected schedule and currently stated next-shipment amount with its observation date. |
| Reminder and changes | Sephora says it emails a reminder three days before shipment and provides a deadline to edit the order. | An account's upcoming order controls; do not present the reminder as a permanent price guarantee. |
Pickup availability is local to the selected store and order
A pickup option reflects a possible order path, while the final ready notice reflects order processing. Sephora says pickup notifications typically arrive within four hours, but the order may identify an item as unavailable after it is placed.

| Pickup state | Source context | What the observation means |
|---|---|---|
| Displayed pickup option | A shopper selects a store and a product option on the page. | Keep the location, selected shade or size and time with the displayed status; it is not confirmed stock. |
| Order processing | Sephora's pickup FAQ says processing can identify items that are no longer available. | Do not infer that every item shown before ordering will be in the final order. |
| Ready notification | The ready email identifies which items are ready or out of stock; notifications typically arrive within four hours. | Treat the timing as an estimate and the message as a later order state. |
Read Sephora's U.S. terms and robots file within their scope
Sephora's U.S. Terms address automated extraction and reuse. The current sephora.com robots file separately lists crawler paths and a crawl delay; those directives do not grant rights or define the rules for Sephora.ca.

| Published source | What the reviewed source states | Scope to preserve |
|---|---|---|
| Terms of Use, sections 2 and 7 | Section 2 limits electronic copying to ordering, Community or shopping uses and requires prior written permission for other content use. Section 7 prohibits scraping, data mining and extraction unless expressly permitted; it separately prohibits using extracted site data to develop or train AI and bypassing robot-exclusion headers. | Attribute these statements to Sephora's U.S. Terms; do not treat public visibility as permission. |
| Robots.txt for sephora.com | The wildcard group disallows /search, /browse/, /basket, /checkout and multiple account/profile paths, and lists Crawl-delay: 5. | This is the reviewed .com file; it is not evidence about Sephora.ca or a grant of access rights. |
| Product and color information | The Terms say page information may not be accurate or current and displayed colors may vary by monitor. | Keep source wording and review date; do not present descriptions or color images as independently verified facts. |
