Rappi menu and retail data: fields, branches and price context
A source guide to Rappi restaurant menus and retail listings, with branch context, catalog fields, price components and country-specific policies.
Rappi is a marketplace of merchant storefronts, not one global catalog
Rappi's Mexico consumer terms describe products and services offered by commercial partners through its platform. Its legal index links separate country and vertical terms, so a market label belongs beside every comparison. A Rappi product guide should distinguish its merchant and surface before comparing an item.

| Record context | What to keep together | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Market | Country, city or service sector, local currency, and observation date | Legal terms, coverage and catalog fields vary by market. |
| Merchant | Merchant name and the specific store or branch when shown | A chain name alone cannot identify a branch-level offer or availability state. |
| Surface | Restaurant menu, retail product listing, grocery listing or paid ad | Menu choices, packaged products and advertising placements represent different records. |
| Evidence source | Consumer-facing page, merchant documentation, or country-specific terms | Partner tools describe merchant workflows; they do not prove what fields appear in every public listing. |
Restaurant menus and retail catalogs need different fields
Rappi's Mexico restaurant-partner help and Colombia Retail Terms document different catalog grains. The table maps what those first-party sources describe; it is not a claim that every field is visible on each consumer screen.

| Record type and source context | Fields the source documents | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| Restaurant menu item · Mexico partner help | Branch, category, item name, description, modifiers or toppings, and photograph | A menu item and its selectable modifiers should stay connected but remain separate fields. |
| Retail catalog item · Colombia partner terms | Product name, price, characteristics, description, net content, image, and legally required warnings | Keep package or net-content context with the item amount; do not assume fields are identical across categories. |
| Restricted-category marker · Colombia partner terms | A catalog mark for a regulated or age-restricted category where applicable | Treat the flag as a market-specific catalog property, not an inferred label or universal category list. |
Branch and service area give availability its meaning
In the Mexico terms, a user-entered location determines which products are shown for a sector, and delivery must fall within coverage. Colombia's Retail Terms define a stock-out as a product shown as available when the serving store does not have it. Store context and observation time therefore belong beside any availability claim.

| Comparison field | Useful value or state | Source-specific boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Market and service area | Country, city or sector, and a non-identifying coverage label | Mexico terms tie the displayed selection to location and delivery coverage; do not retain a customer's address. |
| Serving store | Merchant and branch/store label when displayed | Rappi Mexico merchant help says the partner selects the branch when editing a menu item. |
| Displayed availability | Shown available, unavailable, or not stated, with observation time | Colombia Retail Terms distinguish a displayed listing from the serving store's stock. |
| Fulfillment outcome | Item fulfilled, omitted, or substituted only when the source explicitly reports it | A menu or product-page observation is not an order receipt or proof of fulfillment. |
An item amount is different from the checkout total
Rappi's Mexico terms say commercial partners set displayed product prices. They also distinguish a weighted item's estimate from its final weighed amount and list checkout components beyond the products themselves. Compare equivalent item-level values only, and keep the market, currency and time with each observation.

| Amount or event | What to record | Mexico terms context |
|---|---|---|
| Menu or retail item amount | Displayed item price, currency, product or menu selection, and observation time | The terms attribute product prices to commercial partners; values can change. |
| Weighted product estimate | Estimated amount and the weight or unit basis if displayed | The displayed estimate may differ from the final amount determined by actual weight at the store. |
| Checkout total | Product costs plus separately identified shipping, transaction cost, service fee, voluntary tip and taxes | The terms describe these as possible components of the Mexico order total; this is not a single-item price. |
| Unavailable item | Removal, cancellation, or a similar item outcome only when explicitly shown | The Mexico terms describe consumer-selected outcomes for missing items, including a similar-price-and-type substitute in the stated cases. |
Catalog tools, order systems and paid ads describe different records
Rappi's Colombia partner terms describe a catalog workflow, an order-management integration and a separate advertising product. These should not be collapsed into one catalog feed or treated as proof of public access to consumer listings.

| Rappi surface | What the reviewed material says | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Mi Tienda catalog · Colombia | Partners can create and manage a catalog, change prices, activate products and stores, and manage inventory integration. | This is a merchant-side tool described in Colombia partner terms. |
| FTP catalog file · Colombia | The Retail Terms list product name, price, characteristics, description, net content, images and required warnings among its catalog inputs. | Treat this as a partner upload specification, not a public consumer-feed guarantee. |
| Open Orders · Colombia | The Retail Terms say Open Orders is provided only for order management. | An order-management API or integration is not the same thing as a public product catalog API. |
| RappiAds · Colombia Restaurants | The Ads terms describe paid placements with configurable budgets/CPC, stores, time settings and audiences. | An observed paid placement is an ad record; the terms do not establish an organic catalog ranking formula. |
Rappi policies and public crawler evidence vary by market
The reviewed terms and privacy materials were checked on 2026-10-07 in Singapore (2026-10-06 UTC); the legal pages did not display an effective or last-updated date. Brazil's consumer terms contain a Brazil-specific automated-collection and copying restriction. Mexico's privacy notice lists location data and describes its use for delivery-address entry and shopper/courier functions. Rappi's .com and .com.br robots and sitemap files could not be verified in this review.

| Evidence boundary | What the reviewed source says | What this guide does not infer |
|---|---|---|
| Brazil consumer terms | The posted clause names robots and automated/manual data collection, scraping, extraction, monitoring and copying; it also addresses identifiable personal information. | This summary is limited to the Brazil terms and is not a legal conclusion about other markets. |
| Mexico user privacy notice | Location data is listed, with examples covering address entry in Rappi Super and Comida and location-related shopper/courier functions. | Do not include user location, account, payment, order, shopper or courier data in a public catalog reference. |
| Country dates and policy scope | Mexico, Colombia and Brazil materials reviewed here do not show an effective or last-updated date in the inspected text. | Do not generalize a country-specific clause into a universal Rappi policy. |
| Robots and sitemap | Attempts to read the .com and .com.br robots.txt and sitemap.xml endpoints returned internal errors on the review date. | The endpoint contents, crawler instructions and permission status remain unverified. |
