Outdoor Voices product data: fabric, fit and options
A guide to Outdoor Voices apparel fields: fabric and construction, fit notes, size/color options, dated offers, and current terms.
Outdoor Voices groups apparel by audience, garment and activity
The store presents women's and men's apparel menus, garment categories and activity-led collections. Its all-products collection also exposes gender, size, color and price filters. Treat those as changing merchandising facets: an activity label is not a product certification, and a collection view is not a complete inventory.

| Store label | How Outdoor Voices uses it | How to keep it distinct |
|---|---|---|
| Audience facet | The all-products page includes Women, Men and Unisex values. | Keep the original source label and selected storefront context; do not infer a shopper's gender. |
| Garment category | Navigation names items such as dresses, tops, pants, shorts, skorts, bras, leggings and accessories. | Record the garment type separately from fabric family and activity collection. |
| Activity collection | The women's menu includes Studio, Sweat, Rest Day, Hike, Court Sports and Everyday. | Treat these as store navigation or merchandising labels, not measured capability or a guarantee of intended use. |
| Named fabric collection | TechSweat and CloudKnit each have fabric-focused pages with related products. | A fabric collection can cross garment categories; do not treat it as a single style or size range. |
| Collection view | Filtered and sorted collection pages show a changing selection of product cards and options. | Save the collection URL and observation time if comparing assortment; do not call the rendered set exhaustive. |
Fabric names, fiber composition and garment construction are separate
Outdoor Voices describes fabrics with brand-specific names and performance language, while individual product pages can list fiber composition, care and garment details. Preserve those as separate evidence fields. One garment can combine materials across a waistband, outer layer and built-in liner.

| Evidence layer | Outdoor Voices page example | Record boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Fabric family | The TechSweat page describes that named family and lists attributes such as breathability, sweat-wicking, quick-drying, light support, stretch and UPF 50+. | Attribute each descriptor to Outdoor Voices; do not present its product claims as independent test findings or apply them to every garment. |
| Fiber composition | A product page may state a material blend for that particular garment. | Preserve the exact product, component, percentages and source wording; do not assume a fabric family has one composition across all styles. |
| Mixed construction | The Joggy Skort description separates a TechSweat core band from a LightSpeed skirt and a built-in short liner with pockets and a gripper. | Represent garment components and materials separately instead of assigning the whole garment a single fabric label. |
| Care instructions | Product pages publish care directions alongside fabric and fit details. | Tie each instruction to the exact product page; do not generalize it to a whole collection. |
| Brand claim versus field value | Outdoor Voices' fabric page describes intended or marketed fabric attributes. | Keep the source wording and its URL; a product claim is separate from a measured value or independently verified certification. |
Fit notes need the garment and model context
An apparel page can place fit descriptors, garment measurements and model styling details together, but they describe different things. A model's height and worn size show the presentation context for a product photo; they do not predict another shopper's fit.

| Field group | What a product page may show | Keep separate from |
|---|---|---|
| Cut and rise | Fit wording such as high-rise and product-specific fit or support descriptors. | A universal size recommendation or a fit claim for other garments in the same fabric family. |
| Garment measurement | A named measurement such as an inseam or other item-specific dimension. | The garment's nominal style name or a measurement from a similar length option. |
| Construction affecting fit | Built-in shorts, liner, pads, pockets or a structured band when stated. | A feature inferred from another colorway or related product. |
| Model note | A product page may show a model's height and the size worn. | Customer profile, shopper height/size data, or proof that the displayed fit will transfer to another person. |
| Missing detail | A fit or measurement field can be absent from a given page. | An estimated value; leave an unstated field unknown and refer readers to the linked product page or current size guide. |
Size and color are selected options, not duplicate garments
Collection pages expose size and color facets, while product pages identify a garment and let a shopper select options. Availability can vary by size and color. Retain the parent style and selected option as related values, and do not construct combinations that the page does not show.

| Catalog relationship | What to preserve | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Parent garment | Product title, product type and canonical product page. | That each color card or selected option is a wholly different base style. |
| Selected size and color | The exact option labels shown for the product and the selected storefront context. | Every size being offered in every color, or a universal size range across the store. |
| Explicit variant reference | A source-provided option identifier or selected variant URL state when present. | An identifier inferred from a URL, card count or color label. |
| Availability | The option-level state and time it was observed, if a reviewed data workflow records it. | A color count or product-card presence as proof that a particular size can be ordered now. |
| Collection filters | Filter labels and the source collection URL used for the view. | A complete catalog, stable assortment, or source-wide size taxonomy from one filtered page. |
Prices and sale labels are dated offer observations
Outdoor Voices' Terms of Use say prices can change and products are subject to availability. Collection cards may show different amounts or sale labels for selected listings. Keep any offer observation tied to the selected option, storefront and time; this page does not publish a current price or stock count.

| Offer field | Context to retain | Why it is time-bound |
|---|---|---|
| Displayed amount | Amount and currency shown for the selected product option and storefront. | The terms say product prices can change; a value without an observation time can mislead. |
| Comparison or sale price | Displayed regular/comparison amount, current amount and source sale wording when present. | Discounts and sale presentation vary by listing and may change independently of product identity. |
| Final-sale wording | The exact label and the product/option page where it appeared. | Do not turn a dated label into a general return promise or a permanent product attribute. |
| Availability | Source's displayed state, selected size/color, market and observation time. | The terms state products are subject to availability and may be discontinued. |
| Policy reference | Link to current terms and return information when the question concerns a purchase. | A catalog offer observation is not the full checkout, shipping, tax or return policy. |
Outdoor Voices publishes explicit limits for automated data gathering
The Terms of Use state that third-party applications must not interact with the Services without prior written consent, including scripts designed to scrape or extract data. They also prohibit bypassing robots.txt instructions and exclude data-mining, robots and similar data-gathering methods from the limited content license. These are attributed statements from the published terms, not a legal interpretation or an access grant.

| Published source | What it says | Boundary for this guide |
|---|---|---|
| Terms of Use, Section 6 | The March 25, 2025 terms prohibit third-party apps interacting with the Services without prior written consent, including scripts designed to scrape or extract data; they also say not to bypass or ignore robots.txt instructions. | Do not suggest an automated workflow, imply consent, or infer that a publicly visible page may be gathered or reused. |
| Terms of Use, Section 8 | The limited content license is for personal use and excludes commercial use and data-mining, robots or similar gathering methods; other use requires prior written permission under the terms. | Attribute the policy to Outdoor Voices and direct readers to the current terms; do not offer legal advice. |
| robots.txt | The terms point to the store's robots.txt for automated-access instructions. | The file was not readable in this review; this page makes no claim about its present paths, bot groups or sitemap declarations. |
| Privacy Policy | The July 1, 2026 policy lists personal data categories including clothing size, height, purchase/return activity, account and device/browsing information. | Keep shopper identity, measurements, orders, support records and user reviews outside a public product-field guide. |
| Product-page model note | A product page may show model height and worn size as styling context. | Do not merge that public photo note with customer profile or purchase data, or reproduce reviewer identities and text. |
Keep garment identity, fit evidence and offer history linked
A useful apparel record keeps a parent garment, its selected option, component-level fabric claims and any dated offer observation connected without flattening them into one row. The table describes fields to preserve in a reviewed research model; it is not an Outdoor Voices result or an instruction to collect the site.

| Record layer | Fields to preserve | Keep separate from |
|---|---|---|
| Garment | Source title and URL, garment category, audience/collection labels and explicit identifier if shown. | A size/color option or a merchandising activity label interpreted as a performance guarantee. |
| Material and component | Named fabric per component, fiber composition, care statement and linked source evidence. | Another fabric family or a manufacturer claim restated as an independent test. |
| Fit and measurement | Product fit wording, garment measurement and model-note context when the page provides them. | Customer measurements, a general fit recommendation or absent values filled by inference. |
| Variant | Parent garment, selected size/color and source-provided option reference when available. | An unlisted size/color combination or a product-card color count. |
| Offer and evidence | Market/storefront, selected option, displayed currency/value/status if reviewed, source URL and observation time. | Permanent product facts, current price copied into evergreen text, shopper identity or purchase records. |
