An informational guide to OluKai product data: footwear categories, color and size options, fit labels, water claims and regional offer context.

OluKai's Terms and Conditions say a robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means may not access the site for any purpose without express written permission. The Terms also restrict copying and reuse of site content.

| Source boundary | What the official notice says | Catalog implication |
|---|---|---|
| Automated access | The Terms require express written permission before using a robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access the site. | Do not infer permission from a public page, product URL, or crawler directive. |
| Content reuse | The Terms limit copying and reuse of site content, subject to the Terms and applicable law. | Use attributed field labels; do not copy product descriptions, images, or reviews into this guide. |
| Personal information | The Privacy Policy describes identifiers, account information, order history, payment, device, and network information. | Keep customer, account, order, payment, and personal data outside a product catalog. |
A product page needs its storefront and selected region.
The olukai.com site exposes a region selector, and its Terms describe international orders through Global-e. They say local currency may be used and that the same product's international and U.S. prices may differ; destination availability can also vary. Keep the storefront, selected destination, and observation time with any catalog or offer record.

| Context field | What to preserve | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Storefront | The exact host or regional shop and product URL. | A brand name alone does not identify which storefront supplied the record. |
| Destination | The selected delivery country or region when it is shown. | International product availability and checkout conditions may differ by destination. |
| Currency and date | Displayed currency and `observed_at` alongside a price. | Do not compare amounts from different currencies or dates as one offer. |
OluKai organizes footwear by audience and product type.
The current men's and women's navigation separates sandals, shoes, slippers, and golf. It then groups subtypes such as beach, leather, slide, and flip-flop sandals; sneakers, slip-ons, and boots; and golf shoes or sandals. Preserve the page's category breadcrumb and audience label instead of flattening every style into a generic footwear type.

| Catalog layer | Examples in the current navigation | Record treatment |
|---|---|---|
| Audience | Men's and women's shop/category paths. | Keep the source's exact audience label; do not infer it from the product name. |
| Product family | Sandals, shoes, slippers, and golf footwear. | Retain the displayed category and breadcrumb for each style. |
| Style subtype | Beach, leather, slide, or flip-flop sandals; sneaker, slip-on, or boot styles. | Keep source taxonomy separate from a normalized internal category. |
Keep a named style separate from its color and size options.
An official OluKai product page presents a named style, its audience and category, a color label, and a separate size selector. Store those as related fields: a color name is not a size, and the style title alone does not identify every selected option. Preserve Hawaiian spelling and punctuation exactly as the source displays them.

| Record layer | Candidate fields | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Style | Displayed style name, audience label, category path, and source product URL. | A stable SKU or model identifier unless the source explicitly displays it. |
| Selected option | Exact color label, selected size, and any displayed size system or option identifier. | That every color is offered in every size, or that a title identifies the selected size. |
| Availability observation | A dated source label tied to the selected color/size and storefront. | That a neighboring collection tile represents the same selected variant. |
The Fit Guide is specific to the footwear style.
OluKai support says product pages show a Fit Guide for how each style runs in size, width, and arch. Its arch-support help page also describes Low, Standard, and High category filters. Capture the exact value and style context shown on the source page; these are brand-provided fit labels, not independent measurements or personal sizing advice.

| Fit field | Source context to retain | Interpretation limit |
|---|---|---|
| Size run | The style's displayed size guidance or fit wording. | A fit note for one style does not apply to every OluKai product. |
| Width | The label in that style's Fit Guide, when present. | Do not infer a foot measurement or universal width standard. |
| Arch | The style label and any related collection filter value. | Do not present a merchandising label as medical guidance. |
Keep water-related labels verbatim and product-specific.
OluKai collection filters and product pages use labels such as water-friendly, water-resistant, and waterproof. Those labels can describe different features, and a single product page may use more than one phrase. Preserve the exact label, the page where it appears, and the observation date; do not turn it into a brand-wide claim or collapse every label into one yes/no field.

| Displayed wording | Useful record | Avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Water-friendly | Exact source label and the style or collection where it appears. | Treating it as a synonym for waterproof. |
| Water-resistant | Exact product-page wording, with its source URL. | Inferring a specific exposure duration or performance threshold. |
| Waterproof | The exact product-level label and its date. | Applying one style's claim to other models or the full catalog. |
Compare prices and availability only with market and time attached.
OluKai's Terms warn that product information, price, and availability may be inaccurate, incomplete, or changed without notice. For international orders, the Terms say currency and prices may differ by destination and some products may not be available for shipment. A useful price observation therefore belongs to a selected product option, storefront or destination, and capture time.

| Offer observation | Fields to keep together | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Displayed amount, currency, selected option, storefront/destination, source URL, and `observed_at`. | International and U.S. amounts may differ, and prices can change. |
| Availability | Exact source label, option, destination when shown, and observation time. | A page message is a point-in-time state, not a fulfillment guarantee. |
| History | One dated observation per market and product option. | Do not overwrite past observations with a current offer. |
