Nanit baby monitor data: cameras, mounts and fit
Map Nanit camera generations, mount bundles, Breathing Wear fit, Home display compatibility, and Insights features. Keep model, chart and entitlement versions distinct.
Separate the Nanit camera from the chosen bundle
Nanit support still identifies Original, Plus and Pro camera generations, while its current storefront calls the offer Smart Baby Monitor System. The storefront then separates the selected mount from a camera-only or camera-plus-display bundle. Keep these labels and relationships at their own level.

| Record level | Nanit example | Keep distinct |
|---|---|---|
| Camera generation | Original, Plus or Pro | Capture the generation or model code named in the source; do not infer it from a bundle title. |
| Current storefront item | Smart Baby Monitor System | Preserve the current product-page title alongside any support-page generation name. |
| Mount choice | Floor Stand or Wall Mount | Treat the selected stand or mount as a configuration component, not another camera. |
| Display bundle | Camera only or Camera + 8-inch Display | Record the Home display as an included companion device when selected. |
| Accessory | Flex Stand, power adapter or camera mount parts | Use an explicit accessory-compatibility relationship; do not merge accessory SKUs into camera identity. |
Mount position changes feature availability
A mount is not only a bundle choice: Nanit ties some analytics to the camera's position. Store the required setup with each feature so a Flex configuration is not reported as equivalent to an overhead stand.

| Setup | Documented behavior | Field to preserve |
|---|---|---|
| Floor Stand | Overhead view; the current product page says sleep tracking requires this or the Wall Mount. | Mount type, overhead position, supported analytics and source page. |
| Wall Mount | Fixed overhead setup; sleep tracking and full Insights functions require Floor Stand or Wall Mount. | Mount type, installation state, supported analytics and source page. |
| Flex Stand | Portable positioning; breathing-motion monitoring is supported with a clear view, but sleep tracking is not supported on Flex. | Mount type, feature-specific compatibility and positioning conditions. |
| Flex breathing setup | Nanit support describes placing the camera 3–5 feet away at about a 45-degree angle for that breathing-motion setup. | Record as dated setup guidance, not as a universal stand specification. |
| View geometry | The product FAQ contrasts Flex's 130-degree view with the full overhead view. | Keep view mode and mount configuration attached to the observation. |
Breathing Wear has camera and chart-specific compatibility
Breathing Motion uses Nanit's patterned Breathing Wear with a supported camera; it is not a generic camera sensor reading. Nanit's official safety and sizing pages publish different Band size groupings, so the source document must remain attached to each size range.
Scroll to compare →
| Relationship | First-party detail | Comparison rule |
|---|---|---|
| Camera compatibility | Nanit's support article names Pro and Plus for Breathing Motion monitoring. | Store compatible camera generation and the exact support-page evidence. |
| Wear type | The patterned Swaddle and Breathing Band are distinct items; Nanit says to use one Breathing Wear item at a time. | Keep item type and selected size separate; do not count both items as one bundle unless the listing says so. |
| Third-party wear | Nanit says other brands' black-and-white patterned swaddles do not support its Breathing Motion feature. | Do not generalize pattern compatibility to a third-party product. |
| Safety-page Band chart | The Product Use & Safety article groups Band sizes as Small (0–3 months; 6–15 lb) and Large (3–24 months; 13–30 lb). | Preserve the article name, size label, age/weight fields and reviewed date. |
| Separate size-guide Band chart | The dedicated size guide instead shows 0–3M (6–12.5 lb), 3–12M (12.5–25 lb) and 12–24M (25–30 lb). | Do not reconcile the two official charts into one invented size mapping; keep page/version provenance. |
Nanit Home is a companion display, not a new camera
Nanit's July 6, 2026 support article describes Home as an 8-inch dedicated display and an extension of the Nanit app. Compatibility, network and feature limits belong to the display relationship, not to the camera's base model.
Scroll to compare →
| Display field | Nanit Home detail | How to store it |
|---|---|---|
| Screen | Dedicated 8-inch display | Keep display size and model separate from camera dimensions. |
| Compatible cameras | Original, Plus and Pro | Store camera-to-display compatibility as a dated relation. |
| Network and app | 2.4 or 5 GHz Wi-Fi; runs the Nanit app only; open networks and captive portals are not supported. | Retain system requirement and supported application in the accessory/device record. |
| Subscription and other devices | No subscription is required for Home itself; the article says Sound + Light is not supported at this time. | Date the plan and device limits; do not infer compatibility from shared brand alone. |
Separate camera features from Insights plan entitlements
Nanit says core video-monitor functions do not require an Insights plan, while sleep analytics and history depend on plan and mounting setup. Its plan page's primary cards and later FAQ use different tier names and benefit details; preserve section-level provenance rather than flattening them into one stable entitlement list.
Scroll to compare →
| Feature record | What the official pages distinguish | Useful fields |
|---|---|---|
| Core monitor use | The current product FAQ lists live video, sound/motion notifications, background audio, temperature/humidity, two-way audio and sound features without requiring an Insights plan. | Feature, requirement (none/plan), compatible camera and source section. |
| Sleep analytics | The current product and plan pages require Floor Stand or Wall Mount for sleep analysis and related overhead analytics. | Feature, required mount, plan label and effective date. |
| Plan cards | The primary cards name Sleep, Memories and Milestones; the FAQ later refers to older Premium/Ultimate names and different history/profile details. | Plan name as printed, page section, benefit, market and observation date. |
| Price or renewal | Plan offers and billing can change and may be described differently across page sections. | Keep price, currency, billing cadence and promotion window together; do not treat them as camera specifications. |
| Home display | Nanit Home's support page says no subscription is required for the display; some camera analytics still have separate mount/plan requirements. | Do not transfer one device's subscription rule to every product feature. |
Keep site-use limits and personal health data out of product claims
The Nanit Terms of Service prohibit manual or automated processes to crawl or spider Site pages and limit use of Site materials. Nanit also says its services and products are not medical devices and are not a substitute for medical care or adult supervision. A catalog should model public product facts, not private family records or clinical conclusions.
Scroll to compare →
| Boundary | Why it matters for Nanit data | Do this |
|---|---|---|
| Site-use terms | The Terms' license restrictions prohibit crawling/spidering and separately restrict exploitation of Site materials without prior written consent. | Review the current Terms before planning any use; this guide gives no access permission or collection procedure. |
| Medical meaning | Nanit states its product and services are not medical devices and are not intended to diagnose or prevent medical conditions. | Describe product features as manufacturer-stated capabilities; do not turn breathing or sleep metrics into medical claims. |
| Private family data | Live video, infant/caregiver identities, account details and personal sleep/breathing records are not public catalog attributes. | Keep private account and child-level data out of product datasets and examples. |
| Illustrative record model | Camera generation → mount/bundle → compatible accessory or display → dated plan feature. | A proposed field map may use camera_generation, mount_type, bundle_includes_display, wear_type, compatibility_source, plan_label and observed_at; it is not a Nanit export. |
