Goose Creek Candle data: scent, formats and product fields
Understand Goose Creek Candle data across candles, wax melts and plug-in refills: scent notes, format-specific fields, device compatibility and collection terms.
Goose Creek sells fragrance in several product formats.
The current catalog spans candles, wax melts, plug-in devices and refills, room fragrance, and body care, alongside seasonal and licensed collections. A scent name can recur across formats, but each listing remains its own product record with different physical and use attributes.

| Listing example | Source-specific fields | Keep separate |
|---|---|---|
| Balsam Forest High Intensity 3-Wick Candle | Named fragrance, 3-wick format, candle weight and burn-time claim | The specific candle format and its displayed claims |
| Teakwood Wax Melt | Fragrance story, prominent scent notes, 2.1 oz tray and warmer context | A wax-melt duration claim from a candle burn-time claim |
| Signature Home Diffuser and a named refill | Device controls plus a refill listing that names compatible hardware | Device identity from the compatible refill product |
| Body-care or licensed item | Product type, collection and any displayed variant | Catalog identity from eligibility under the return policy |
Store the scent story separately from the named notes.
On the Teakwood Wax Melt page, “What it smells like” is editorial prose; “Prominent scent notes” is a separate list. Preserve both labels and values from the exact listing. The note list describes the source's fragrance presentation; it is not an ingredient declaration or a measured scent profile.

| Source label | Teakwood example | Record it as |
|---|---|---|
| Product title | Teakwood Wax Melt | The displayed listing identity |
| What it smells like | A short description of aged, white woods | Source-authored narrative text |
| Prominent scent notes | Rare Mahogany, Black Teakwood, Aromatic Sage & Fresh Lavender | An ordered or delimited note list, distinct from narrative |
| Scent family | Woodsy, as displayed in product details | A source-provided category, not a substitute for the notes |
Use fields that fit the candle, melt or diffuser.
Goose Creek's examples show why one candle-oriented schema does not fit every format. Keep each “up to” duration attached to the named product and its source wording; it is a product claim rather than a guaranteed outcome.

| Format | Example fields shown by Goose Creek | Modeling note |
|---|---|---|
| 3-wick candle | The Balsam Forest High Intensity listing describes 14.5 oz candles and up to 45 hours, with three wicks and a separate scent-note list | Keep product name, wick count, weight, burn claim and notes together; attribute family specifications to this source page |
| Wax melt | Teakwood is a 2.1 oz soy-wax-blend melt with an up-to-50–80-hour fragrance claim and standard-warmer context | Do not translate warmer duration into candle burn time; retain the “up to” wording |
| Diffuser and refill | The Signature Home Diffuser has intensity and timer settings; the Nesting Season refill page explicitly names that diffuser and states up to 30 days | Represent the device and refill separately, with a compatibility link sourced from the refill listing |
| Other candle sizes or body care | Capture size, variant, ingredients or care information only when the selected product page displays it | Do not infer fields from another scent or product format |
Keep offer observations and return rules in context.
Goose Creek's Terms say prices and availability can change without notice. If a project has permission to record listings, bind each displayed amount, sale label and availability value to its currency, market, exact product URL and observation time; do not present a page observation as a durable price history. The current refund policy also distinguishes product eligibility and domestic versus international return handling.

| Information | Useful context to retain | Caution |
|---|---|---|
| Displayed offer | Currency, selected variant, sale/compare-at labels, market and observation time | Prices and availability are changeable; a missing value is not zero or out of stock |
| Product type | Candle, wax melt, plug-in/refill, body care or licensed collection | The refund policy excludes body care, select used items and licensed products from its stated 30-day return eligibility |
| Return destination | The current US or international policy wording and its date | The policy describes different shipping responsibility; do not promise that every listing or order qualifies |
Goose Creek's Terms set a boundary for automated collection.
The Terms of Use, last updated December 1, 2025, describe a limited personal, non-commercial license. Section 9 says express written consent is required for commercial use or collection of product images, listings, descriptions or prices, and for use of data-gathering or extraction tools, including data mining and robots. Check the current Terms and obtain source-specific authorization before planning automated collection.

| Question | What the published Terms say | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Can a product listing be treated as permission to reuse its contents? | No; the Terms address copying, collection and commercial use separately from ordinary page visibility | Read the current Terms and request written permission where required |
| Do robots or data-gathering tools have a stated exception? | Section 9 explicitly names data-gathering/extraction tools, data mining and robots | Do not assume a crawler directive grants permission |
