Fnac Marketplace product data: sellers, offers and condition
A guide to Fnac Marketplace sellers, shippers, refurbished grades and offer ranking, plus approved catalog feeds and current crawl rules.
A Fnac item page can contain several sellers’ offers.
Fnac’s French Marketplace overview, checked September 30, 2026, says one product page may let a shopper choose between Fnac’s offer and offers from professional partner sellers. The product page represents an item; each seller’s price and delivery terms belong to a separate offer. Fnac describes marketplace transactions as taking place between the buyer and the partner seller.

| Record | Capture from the page | Keep separate |
|---|---|---|
| Product identity | Exact title, URL, category and identifier such as EAN or ISBN when shown | A title match is not enough to merge products with different identifiers or editions. |
| Fnac offer | Fnac as seller, selected option, displayed price, delivery cost and offer state | The direct-retailer offer is not a partner seller’s offer. |
| Marketplace offer | Partner seller name, price, delivery charge, condition and observed availability | Store each seller offer separately from the item record and other offers. |
| Observation context | French storefront, page surface, selected sort and observation time | A product detail page and a search result can present offers in different orders. |
Vendu par and Livré par identify different roles.
Fnac labels the seller as “Vendu par” and the delivery party as “Livré par.” The Marketplace overview says a partner seller manages order preparation and after-sales, while delivery can be handled by the seller or by Fnac. Some item pages also display a country-of-shipping marker; it does not by itself identify where the seller is established.

| French label or signal | Meaning on the page | Record it as |
|---|---|---|
| Vendu par | The seller offering the product: Fnac or a named professional partner | Seller identity attached to the individual offer. |
| Livré par Fnac | Fnac handles delivery for the identified offer | Fulfillment party, separate from seller identity. |
| Livré par [seller] | The partner seller handles delivery | Fulfillment and seller may match, but are distinct fields. |
| Shipping-country marker | Fnac currently shows France and Europe markers on its overview page | Shipping origin/market label as displayed; do not infer seller location. |
| Seller and product ratings | Seller evaluation concerns the merchant; a product rating concerns the item | Keep the rating subject and count source-labeled; do not join them as one score. |
Seconde Vie offers use four named condition grades.
Fnac’s Marketplace overview currently describes four condition labels for second-life and refurbished products. Keep the French label with its listing; the short descriptions below are Fnac’s own definitions in English summary. They are not a condition scale for every new listing or a universal rating system across retailers.

| Fnac label | Fnac’s current description | Use in a product record |
|---|---|---|
| Parfait état | No visible cosmetic defect | Store as the exact source grade and link to the listing’s full condition description. |
| Très bon état | Minor cosmetic defects | Do not infer missing accessories, repair history or warranty from the grade. |
| Bon état | Small apparent defects | Keep the source phrase; avoid mapping automatically to another retailer’s grade. |
| État correct | Clearly visible cosmetic defects | Use only when the specific offer carries this label; do not apply to new items. |
Offer order changes by page type and seller mix.
Fnac’s published ranking criteria checked September 30, 2026 describe different defaults for product pages with a Fnac offer, partner-only product pages and search results. A position is meaningful only with its surface, seller mix and selected sort attached.
Scroll to compare →
| Surface and offer mix | Published default | Other displayed choices or context |
|---|---|---|
| Product page with Fnac and partner offers | Ascending price | The shopper may sort by descending price, partner-seller evaluations or partner-seller sales count. |
| Product page with partner offers only | Quality criteria, including seller rating, complaints and professional quality | Do not summarize this as a price-only order. |
| Search results | Relevance to the shopper’s search | Available sorts include lower/higher price, best sales, customer ratings and newness. |
| Partner fee and offer rank | Fnac says seller fees do not affect the ranking of partner offers | This statement concerns offer ranking; keep it separate from sponsored search results. |
| Sponsored search result | Some offers may appear with a sponsored label for remuneration | Keep the sponsored label; do not interpret its position as an organic rank. |
Fnac’s affiliate catalog feed is a separate access route.
Fnac’s affiliate tools page says it may make XML or TXT catalog feeds available with fields such as selling price, product-page URL, image and description. Its affiliate FAQ says publishers create an Awin account, join the Fnac program and, after validation, can access materials including the product catalog feed. The public page does not establish feed refresh cadence, exact field coverage or unrestricted API access.

| Published affiliate information | What Fnac says | What remains separate |
|---|---|---|
| Feed formats | XML or TXT product feeds are described on the tools page | A feed is not an open endpoint for arbitrary product-page access. |
| Named fields | Selling price, product URL, product image and description are examples on the tools page | The public description does not specify every field, variant, seller offer or update time. |
| Access path | Awin account, Fnac program signup and validation precede access to affiliate materials | Do not imply that public listings or this guide grant feed access or reuse rights. |
| Other affiliate tools | The tools page also lists link generation, product widgets and banners | Do not combine affiliate tools into a general product API claim. |
Robots directives and Marketplace terms have different scopes.
Fnac’s robots.txt checked September 30, 2026 disallows account, identity, order, basket, shared-comment and filtered or paginated search paths; it marks /api/* Noindex and lists two sitemap indexes. The Marketplace terms page still shows an update date of March 4, 2026. These are separate source signals; a robots directive is not a reuse license, and this summary is not a legal conclusion.

| Source and scope | Current posted detail | Keep in view |
|---|---|---|
| robots.txt | Disallows account, identity, order, basket, shared-comment and filtered/paginated search paths; marks /api/* Noindex | Do not infer that unlisted paths are permission for automated use. |
| robots.txt sitemap entries | Lists sitemapindex-master-old.xml and sitemapindex-master.xml | A sitemap tells crawlers about URLs; it does not establish content rights. |
| Buyer terms §§3 and 6 | §3 reserves access to the Service for strictly personal use; §6 restricts reuse of protected Site material beyond private use | Attribute these to the buyer terms; the French version prevails if it conflicts with the English version. |
| Seller terms §§11.5–11.6 | For marketplace sellers, §11.5 addresses extraction/copying of product-sheet templates and §11.6 lists seller-side misuse, reverse engineering and unauthorized-access restrictions | Keep the seller-only scope explicit; do not apply those clauses to every visitor. |
| Account CGU | The separate account terms page displays a March 2021 date | Do not cite it as the current Marketplace content-use rule. |
