Constantly Varied Gear leggings: fit, fabric and sizing
Compare CVG leggings by cut, fabric blend, rise, hips, inseam and length. See the Black Versatile size-chart mismatch and the Mystery Leggings exception.
CVG leggings sit inside a wider training and activewear range
Constantly Varied Gear (CVG) sells leggings alongside shorts, sports bras, shirts, sweat sets, swimwear and training accessories. Leggings have their own named cuts—Traditional, Versatile, Comfort, Omni, Legacy and Fleece Lined—so start with the exact collection or cut before comparing print, length, material or fit.

| Catalog level | CVG example | Why the level matters |
|---|---|---|
| Category | Leggings, shorts, sports bras and tops | Different garment types need different size and construction fields. |
| Cut | Traditional, Versatile, Comfort, Omni, Legacy or Fleece Lined | The help page names these cuts but does not define every cut's construction. |
| Style/print | Black Versatile Leggings or a named graphic print | Print identity can change while a cut's size model remains the same. |
| Selected variant | Size plus full-length or capri where offered | Availability and size options can vary by product. |
Cut, material and construction are separate leggings fields
CVG's leggings help page says polyester/spandex or nylon/spandex blends are used most often and directs readers to each product page for its exact blend. Black Versatile lists 68% polyester / 32% spandex; Essential Black lists separate outside and inside materials. Store cut, product-level blend, lining and construction as separate fields.

| Field | Example source value | Record boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Cut | Versatile | Use the source's cut name; do not infer its complete construction from the word alone. |
| Material blend | 68% polyester / 32% spandex on Black Versatile | Keep percentages with the exact product and date. |
| Construction | High waistband, seamless waistband, pocket, gusset | Attach only where the product page states those features. |
| Performance wording | “Squat proof” and compression on the Black Versatile listing | Attribute to the exact product page; this wording is seller copy, not independent performance testing. |
| Care | Product/help page instructions for the named fabric/collection | Do not infer care from another cut or blend. |
Black Versatile Leggings show the fields needed for one exact style
The Black Versatile listing combines a named cut and fabric blend with Capri and Full Length choices. It describes a seamless high waistband, compression, side pockets and gusset, and lists 68% polyester / 32% spandex. Its own copy uses seller performance language; preserve the claims with this listing and do not apply them to every CVG style.

| Black Versatile field | Observed listing detail | How to preserve it |
|---|---|---|
| Product identity | Versatile Leggings | Black | Keep title, cut, color and exact product URL. |
| Composition | 68% polyester / 32% spandex | Exact listed blend for this product. |
| Construction | Seamless high waistband, compression, side pockets and gusset | Attribute claims to this listing, including its “squat proof” wording. |
| Length choice | Capri or Full Length | Record chosen length as a selected option, separate from size. |
| Model references | Listing shows model height, body measurements and worn sizes | Keep model data attached to image/product context; do not substitute it for a size chart. |
The Black Versatile size selector and embedded chart do not match
On the Black Versatile product page reopened October 3, 2026, the size selector showed X-Small through XX-Large while the embedded chart also included XXS and XXXL rows. Keep these two page elements separate: a chart row is not proof that the exact color and length offer that size for purchase.

| Evidence | Observed values | Use in a product record |
|---|---|---|
| Variant selector | X-Small, Small, Medium, Large, X-Large and XX-Large | Store only the options shown for the product/color at capture time. |
| Size table | XXS through XXXL, with body-size ranges and dimensions | Treat as the linked chart, not an in-stock variant list. |
| Context | Black Versatile listing with Capri and Full Length choices | Capture selected length and color along with size evidence. |
| Mismatch status | XXS and XXXL chart rows were absent from the visible selector | Recheck availability before calling either size purchasable. |
| Review date | October 3, 2026 | Date this selector/chart observation; do not present it as current indefinitely. |
Leggings size, rise, waist, hip and inseam answer different fit questions
The Black Versatile chart pairs US size ranges with front rise, waist and hip ranges, then gives separate inseam and suggested-height tables for Full Length and Capri. For example, its XXS row shows US 00–2, a 9.25 in front rise, 22–26 in waist and 30–34 in hips; Full Length XXS shows a 25 in inseam and Capri XXS–S a 20 in inseam. Keep each unit, chart row and length label attached.

| Measure | What it describes | Avoid |
|---|---|---|
| US size range | An apparel size mapping such as XXS / US 00–2 | Treating that mapping as an exact body measurement. |
| Front rise | The rise dimension listed for a cut | Joining it to waist or hip ranges as one value. |
| Waist and hips | The chart's inch ranges | Assuming one selected size fits every customer in that range identically. |
| Full Length inseam | The style/size-specific leg length; XXS is listed at 25 in on this page | Applying a capri length to a full-length variant. |
| Capri inseam | A separate chart; XXS–S shows 20 in on this page | Treating the Full Length height range as universal. |
| Length recommendation | Seller-provided height ranges for the shown length | Presenting a recommendation as an exact fit guarantee. |
Some CVG leggings use a different fabric record model
A single composition field does not fit every CVG legging. Black Versatile lists one blend, while Essential Black lists an outside material and a separate inside material. The help page says blends vary by collection and points to each product description for exact composition. Keep outer and inside percentages separate; do not derive a brand-wide blend from one item.
Scroll to compare →
| Product example | Material evidence | Data treatment |
|---|---|---|
| Black Versatile | 68% polyester / 32% spandex | One exact listed blend for this style. |
| Essential Black Leggings | Outside: 78% polyester / 22% spandex; inside: 95% polyester / 5% spandex | Store outer and inner fabric fields separately. |
| Other collections | Help page says blends can vary; product page identifies the blend | Capture from the exact product instead of choosing a brand default. |
| Care | CVG's care guide provides collection/style-specific instructions | Keep care tied to the source style and material context. |
Random or Mystery Leggings are an assortment, not a named print
The Randomly Selected Leggings listing, reopened October 3, says the design is chosen at random and may be a pattern the buyer already owns; multiple pairs may duplicate. It warns that a pair may have no pockets or gusset and may use different fabric, and marks the product final sale with no returns or exchanges. Record uncertain design and features as assortment conditions instead of assigning one standard cut specification to every possible pair.
Scroll to compare →
| Mystery product field | Listing language | Do not imply |
|---|---|---|
| Design | Random selection from multiple possible patterns or solids | A known color/print before the random item is assigned. |
| Construction | May have no pocket, no gusset or different material | That every random pair matches the standard leggings description. |
| Duplicate risk | Multiple orders may include duplicates; an owned print can recur | A unique item per purchase or guaranteed retired print. |
| Length and size | Selected size and Full Length/Capri remain relevant choices | That the random design resolves those selected options. |
| Return status | The page marks sales final with no return or exchange | The ordinary leggings return policy applies to this product. |
Price, stock and refund state belong to a selected option and date
Keep the selected size/length and source date with any offer state. CVG's refund policy says unused items in perfect condition may be returned within 30 days of receipt; store-credit returns are free, while an original-payment refund has a return-label handling fee and does not refund original shipping. Exchanges use a separate 30-day period from shipment and are free. Product-level Final Sale exceptions still apply.

| Commercial state | What to record | CVG-specific context |
|---|---|---|
| Selling price | Amount, currency, product variant and timestamp | The Terms say prices can change without notice. |
| Availability | Selected size and length status | Selector state can differ by color, size or length. |
| Refund eligibility | Unused item in perfect condition; within 30 days of receipt | Store credit is free; an original-payment refund has a return-label handling fee and original shipping is not refunded. |
| Exchange | Shipment date, unused condition and requested replacement size | The policy gives exchanges a separate 30-day clock from shipment and says exchanges are free. |
| Final Sale | Exact product/listing status | Random/Mystery and other explicitly final-sale products have distinct rules. |
The general store Terms prohibit spidering, crawling and scraping
The general Constantly Varied Gear Terms page reopened October 3, 2026 (its indexed snapshot is marked crawled two weeks earlier) lists spidering, crawling and scraping among prohibited uses of the site or its content, and separately prohibits collecting or tracking others' personal information. The page does not establish a collection permission or API. The direct robots.txt endpoint was not rechecked in this pass, so no robots rule is claimed.
Scroll to compare →
| Boundary | Evidence | Guide treatment |
|---|---|---|
| Storefront Terms | The general Terms' prohibited-uses clause names collecting/tracking personal information and spidering, crawling and scraping. | Attribute the restriction to the posted Terms; do not imply that public product pages authorize automated collection. |
| Robots file | Direct robots.txt retrieval was unavailable in the prior review and was not rechecked on October 3. | Make no allow/disallow claim from the unavailable endpoint. |
| Data freshness | Terms say store information, product descriptions and prices may change | Verify any apparel decision with the current source page. |
| Public API | No general product-data API was verified in this review | Do not call storefront pages a supported API. |
