Colorescience sunscreen data: SPF, shades and formats
Compare Colorescience sunscreen by SPF label, liquid or brush format, shade, coverage and subscription state. Preserve product-specific claims and terms.
Colorescience's sun-protection catalog spans several product formats
The Colorescience sun-protection range includes tinted liquid face shields, a powder sunscreen brush, eye-area SPF and face/body products. Build the category record around the exact format and intended area before comparing shades or SPF labels.

| Catalog type | Product-page example | Record boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Liquid face shield | Face Shield Classic, Matte, Glow, Bronze and Flex | Finish, coverage, formula and shade selection vary by family. |
| Powder brush | Sunforgettable Total Protection Brush-On Shield SPF 50 | Record applicator format, net weight, shade, PA label and water-resistance statement from this product page. |
| Eye-area SPF | Total Eye 3-in-1 Renewal Therapy SPF 35 | Keep the eye-area positioning, lower SPF number and four shade options separate from face products. |
| Face/body sunscreen | No-Show Mineral Sunscreen and No-Show Body Shield | Preserve product size and intended area; do not map them to liquid face-shield attributes by name alone. |
Compare the Face Shield family by finish and coverage
The official face-shield collection groups its five liquid SPF 50 products by finish and coverage and gives the family a 40-minute water-resistance statement. It does not make their appearance or selected shade interchangeable; keep collection-level claims attributed to that family page.

| Family | Collection-level description | Comparison field |
|---|---|---|
| Classic | Very sheer, dewy/natural finish | Keep the Classic family and seller-described finish. |
| Matte | Very sheer, matte finish | Keep the Matte family separate from Flex's demi-matte finish. |
| Glow | Sheer golden tint with subtle radiant sheen | Treat as the Glow product and its own tinted finish. |
| Bronze | Sheer bronze tint with subtle radiant sheen | Do not treat the bronze tint as a shade option within Flex. |
| Flex | Medium buildable color coverage with a demi-matte finish | Capture its six selectable shades separately from finish and SPF. |
Keep SPF and product format in separate fields
An SPF number does not define a complete product record. The Face Shield collection assigns SPF 50 and 40-minute water resistance to its liquid family; the Flex product page separately lists PA++++, 40 minutes and 1.8 fl oz / 55 mL. Brush-On Shield has its own powder format, PA++++, 80-minute statement and 0.21 oz / 6 g size; Total Eye is a separate SPF 35 / PA+++ item.

| Product example | Source-specific fields | Avoid assuming |
|---|---|---|
| Face Shield Flex SPF 50 | Liquid, 1.8 fl oz / 55 mL; selector lists six shades; product page lists SPF 50, PA++++ and 40-minute water resistance; medium buildable color coverage, demi-matte finish | A Flex shade or finish is not a generic Face Shield variant. |
| Brush-On Shield SPF 50 | Powder brush, 0.21 oz / 6 g; selector Fair, Medium, Tan and Deep; SPF 50, PA++++ and 80-minute water-resistance statement | Do not transfer its PA or water-resistance fields to liquid sunscreen. |
| Total Eye SPF 35 | Eye-area product, SPF 35 / PA+++ and four listed shades | Do not treat an eye cream as a face-shield product. |
| Active ingredients | Exact product's active ingredient names and percentages when listed | Do not infer a percentage or identical active blend from brand-level copy. |
| Use directions and claims | Source wording, application format and review date | Do not convert seller guidance into independent medical advice. |
Face Shield Flex shade counts differ across page elements
On the October 3, 2026 review, the selector, product description and one FAQ list Fair, Light, Medium, Tan, Deep and Rich Deep. A separate FAQ titled “Will it work for my skin tone?” still says four shades—Fair, Medium, Tan and Deep—and two lower image-alt captions also say “four shades.” Use the selector as the listed option set and attribute the conflicting copy to its exact page element.

| Evidence location | Displayed values | Data treatment |
|---|---|---|
| Variant selector | Fair; Light; Medium; Tan; Deep; Rich Deep | Use the options shown in the current selector and retain option identifiers when available. |
| Product description and FAQ: Is this product safe for sensitive skin? | Six shades: Fair, Light, Medium, Tan, Deep and Rich Deep | These page elements agree with the selector; do not say every FAQ lists four. |
| Separate FAQ: Will it work for my skin tone? | Four shades: Fair, Medium, Tan and Deep | Retain as conflicting FAQ copy; do not treat as current selector availability. |
| Shade label | The product describes iron-oxide pigments that bloom during blending | Preserve marketing/usage wording; do not infer standardized shade equivalency or exact undertone from the name. |
| Lower image-alt captions | Two captions describe bottles or swatches in four shades | Attribute to image text, not the product selector or variant inventory. |
| Review and reader-crawl date | Reviewed October 3, 2026; the reopened Flex page was four weeks old in the source reader | A review date is not a claim that the product page was updated that day; recheck selector state before a new capture. |
Total Eye SPF 35 is an eye-area product with its own shade set
Total Eye 3-in-1 Renewal Therapy combines a seller-described eye treatment, color correction and SPF 35 / PA+++ in one listing. Its shade selector lists Fair, Medium Original, Tan and Deep; those options belong to this product and should not be merged into the six-shade Face Shield Flex selector.

| Field | Total Eye listing | Keep distinct from |
|---|---|---|
| Product identity | 3-in-1 Renewal Therapy SPF 35 | The Total Eye serum, cream and mask products are separate items. |
| Intended area | Eye-area positioning on product page | Full-face liquid sunscreen products. |
| SPF and PA | SPF 35 / PA+++ | SPF 50 / PA++++ products. |
| Shade options | Fair, Medium Original, Tan and Deep | Face Shield Flex's six selector values. |
| Seller-described function | Color correction, eye-area application and cooling applicator | Independent efficacy or treatment claims. |
Separate one-time purchase from the subscription schedule
Colorescience product pages show one-time purchase and Subscribe & Save controls. The reviewed Flex page describes recurring shipments every 45, 60 or 90 days, first-order versus later-order benefits, and a 15% restocking fee for returns processed on renewal orders. Treat those as dated program terms, not product attributes or fixed prices.

| Purchase state | Capture | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| One-time | Selected variant, displayed price/currency and capture time | A one-time price does not describe the future subscription schedule. |
| Subscription | Selected shade, cadence, first-versus-recurring offer and current subscription state | Discount eligibility and terms may change; keep the displayed stage. |
| Renewal return | Current subscription Terms and stated restocking-fee condition | Do not generalize the renewal rule to every ordinary order or product return. |
| Price observation | Exact product/variant, purchase mode, market and timestamp | Avoid copying temporary campaign amounts into a durable record. |
Colorescience Terms expressly restrict product-data collection
The posted Terms display “Last Updated: April 8, 2025.” Section 5 excludes resale/commercial use and collection or use of product listings/descriptions, data mining, robots and data-gathering/extraction tools. Section 6 says the Services and Content are intended for personal, non-commercial use and names crawlers and automatic processes, plus “any manual process” used to monitor, extract, copy or collect information. Attribute this wording to the posted Terms without turning it into legal advice or implying a collection workaround.
