Cdiscount product data: catalog products and seller offers
Cdiscount product data: separate catalog IDs from seller offers, compare displayed and submitted prices, and understand Octopia’s seller-only feedback API.
A product sheet and a Cdiscount offer describe different things
Cdiscount product research crosses two records that are easy to confuse: the catalog description of an item and a seller’s offer for it. Octopia’s product and offer references model those separately. For a useful comparison, add a third layer: the channel, condition, destination and time at which an offer was observed.

| Record | Fields to preserve | Why the distinction matters |
|---|---|---|
| Catalog product | Product reference, GTIN/EAN when present, title, brand, category and relevant attributes. | A title match alone can join different pack sizes, models or variants. |
| Seller offer | Offer ID, seller references, condition, item price and delivery terms when available. | One product can have separate seller offers with different conditions and delivery. |
| Observation | CDISFR channel, destination or delivery context, source URL and timestamp. | Offers and displayed values can vary with context and change over time. |
Keep the Cdiscount identifiers in their own fields
The French Cdiscount channel is identified in Octopia as CDISFR. It is a sales-channel value, not a product code. Keep seller references distinct from catalog identifiers so that cross-seller analysis does not silently merge unrelated records.

| Field | What it identifies | Matching guidance |
|---|---|---|
| GTIN / EAN | A product or variant when the source provides one. | Preserve as text, including leading zeroes; do not substitute a title when it is absent. |
| productReference | An Octopia catalog product reference. | Use within the catalog context documented by Octopia. |
| sellerProductReference | A seller’s reference for its catalog product. | Keep the seller identity alongside it; another seller may use a different reference. |
| sellerExternalReference | A seller-provided reference for an offer. | Do not treat it as a universal offer or product identifier. |
| offerId | An offer record in the seller API. | Keep it attached to the seller, product, condition and channel fields returned with it. |
| salesChannelId / condition | The Cdiscount France channel (CDISFR) and the offer’s condition. | These describe offer context; neither identifies the underlying catalog item. |
Compare displayed price with delivery and condition attached
In Octopia’s offer model, integrationPrice is the seller-submitted value and facialPrice is the value reported for display by the channel; the channel value can reflect channel rules or rounding. Delivery should remain a separate amount and option. Keep seller, condition, destination and observation time beside both prices.

| Value | Example or field | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Seller-submitted price | integrationPrice: €20.00 in a fictional example. | Record as the submitted value, not automatically as the buyer-visible price. |
| Channel-reported price | facialPrice: €21.00 in the same fictional example. | Attribute to the channel response and retain its timestamp. |
| Delivery | A fictional delivery offer of €4.00 to one selected destination. | Keep separate from item price; do not call €25.00 a final checkout total. |
| Offer context | Same fictional item, seller, new condition, CDISFR and observation time. | Match condition and delivery context before comparing values; do not mix a used offer with a new one. |
Octopia competition feedback belongs to a seller API workflow
Cdiscount’s Marketplace API guidance describes API setup through the Seller Area. Octopia documents GET /offers for seller offer records; requesting salesChannelId=CDISFR with the documented salesChannelFeedback expansion can return additional Cdiscount channel feedback for that seller’s offers. It is authenticated seller-account data, not an anonymous product-search endpoint.

| API element | What the documentation describes | Interpretation limit |
|---|---|---|
| Seller setup | Marketplace API settings are configured in the Seller Area after seller registration. | This does not establish a public API for browsing consumer listings. |
| GET /offers | Seller offers can be requested for CDISFR; the documented expansion adds channel feedback where returned. | Use the current seller account’s authorization and required SellerId context. |
| Channel feedback | Examples include online state, displayed offer or delivery data, best-offer/competition details and quality feedback. | Fields are not guaranteed on every response; returned feedback may lag its own updatedAt value. |
| Observation time | A collection timestamp recorded by the analyst or system. | Keep it separate from Octopia’s feedback update time so delayed feedback is visible. |
Keep French variants and delivery modes in their own context
Octopia product records include category-dependent attributes: some categories ask for size or color, while others use storage, material or different properties. French catalog examples use fr-FR; category requirements should be read from the relevant product schema rather than copied across the whole catalog. Variant groups can help relate choices, but each child item still needs its own identity and offer context.

| Cdiscount detail | Record when available | Avoid this assumption |
|---|---|---|
| Category attributes | Category code, language, required and optional product properties. | The same fields apply to every category. |
| Variant family | variantGroupReference plus each child’s GTIN, product reference and variant attributes. | A shared group reference makes child items interchangeable. |
| Delivery offer | Delivery mode, preparation time, quantity and destination context where returned. | Delivery details are part of the product identity or a timeless property. |
| Fulfillment | The seller/fulfillment wording and offer details shown for the specific offer. | Octopia Fulfillment and Express Seller mean the same thing or guarantee an ETA, eligibility or free shipping. |
