Burlap & Barrel product data: spice origin and ingredients

A guide to Burlap & Barrel spice records: origin, ingredients, format, pack size, set contents and source labels. Keep each value tied to its page and date.

Separate single spices, blends and sets

Burlap & Barrel’s catalog spans individual spices, blends, gift collections and a subscription. Keep each catalog item distinct, then attach its named spice or blend, selected package or set option, and observation date. A multi-spice collection is a parent set with member products; it is not one large spice package, and a recurring subscription is not the same offer as a single jar.

Single spiceProduct title, type, source URL or ID, selected package, amount and unit.Keep the spice identity separate from the jar size, label and current offer.
BlendBlend name, source-listed ingredients, selected package and any stated process or heat label.Do not treat the blend as a single-ingredient spice or infer undisclosed proportions.
Gift or spice setSet identity, selected spice-count option, named member products and observation date.Retain the member list under the selected set size; do not use the set’s spice count as a package weight.
Spice Club subscriptionSubscription identity, selected cadence and terms stated on the offer page.Keep recurring frequency and subscription conditions distinct from a one-time item purchase.

Keep origin, ingredients and product labels together

The Sultan Sesame Seeds page shows why product identity should stay attached to its source wording. The page checked September 30, 2026 names a 2.6 oz glass jar, states the origin as Çanakkale, Turkey, lists “Sesame Seeds (Sesamum indicum)” and “Contains Sesame,” and displays tasting notes and product labels. Treat these as claims on this item’s page; they do not establish every lot’s traceability, a safety guarantee, or a certification scope beyond what the source documents.

OriginÇanakkale, Turkey.Keep the named region and product URL together; do not generalize it to another product or infer lot-level verification.
Ingredient and allergenSesame Seeds (Sesamum indicum); Contains Sesame.Preserve the common/botanical wording and allergen statement exactly; a missing statement is not an assurance.
Tasting notesCream Top • Tahini • Mixed Nuts.Retain as brand-assigned descriptive phrases, not as a standardized sensory score.
Processing and labelsThe page describes raw, unhulled sesame and displays Raw, Non-Irradiated, Non-GMO and Kosher labels.Keep each label attached to this product page; do not turn a label into an independent certification claim.
PackageGlass Jar 2.6 oz.Store the selected container and amount with this exact product and observation.

Read spice format and package amount literally

The All Spices catalog separates format filters from a product’s own processing and package details. Its current Format filters include Whole, Ground and Blends. On the Sultan page, “raw” and “unhulled” describe the sesame product while “Glass Jar 2.6 oz” identifies the package shown. Those fields answer different questions and should not be collapsed into a single format or converted into an assumed bulk quantity.

Catalog formatCurrent All Spices filters include Whole, Ground and Blends.Keep the catalog filter label and the page where it appeared; a filter is not a complete product description.
Processing languageThe Sultan page describes the seeds as raw and unhulled and also displays a Raw label.Preserve descriptive copy and displayed labels as separate source fields.
Container and amountThe selected Sultan option is a glass jar labeled 2.6 oz.Keep package type, number/amount and unit together; do not transfer them to another option.
Set countCurrent gift pages offer spice-count options such as 6-spice and 36-spice sets.Spice count describes a selected set option; it is not the weight or size of one jar.

Preserve the catalog’s flavor, cuisine and use vocabulary

Checked September 30, 2026, the All Spices catalog grouped products by Spice Type, Format, Dietary Preferences, Cuisine, Uses, Flavor Profile and Heat Level. These source taxonomies can support assortment analysis, but their labels are not standardized sensory measurements, ingredient statements, medical advice or proof of a certification. Record the taxonomy name and exact value shown for the selected product.

Store spice-set membership by option and observation date

Burlap & Barrel’s set pages offer several selectable sizes, and the set count does not identify the exact member list by itself. On the pages checked September 30, 2026, Origin Blends offered 6-spice and 9-spice options; The Complete Collection offered 36-, 48- and 60-spice options. The Origin Blends page also warns that small-batch bundles may include substitutions of similar value. Save the selected option, listed members and that substitution note together rather than treating a set as a fixed SKU list.

Keep changing catalog facts and the posted Terms in context

Burlap & Barrel’s Terms of Service were checked September 30, 2026; the page does not display a last-updated date. Section 12(i) lists spidering, crawling and scraping among prohibited uses. Section 2 restricts reproducing, copying or exploiting the Service or access to it without express written permission. Sections 3, 4, 5 and 11 address inaccurate or non-current information and changes to prices or descriptions. A dated product observation therefore needs its source page and selected option, and the Terms’ wording should be kept distinct from any crawler directive. This is an informational summary, not a legal determination.
