Bullet Journal product data: notebook editions, Pocket and official resources
Compare official Bullet Journal notebooks, Pocket sets, bundles and method resources, with page-count and bundle-content caveats.
Bullet Journal connects a journaling method with an official product catalog.
The site serves people learning the Bullet Journal Method as well as shoppers choosing its notebooks and writing accessories. Those are related but different intents: the notebook is a tool for the method, while the official book, free introduction and course explain how the method is practiced.

| Site area | Official examples | Keep distinct |
|---|---|---|
| Method education | The method book, a free email introduction and the Foundation Course. | The Foundation Course is identified by the official FAQ as the official course; do not label every journal or resource a course. |
| Physical catalog | The Notebook, The Pocket, pens, pencils, loops, refills, GuidePack and selected bundles. | A notebook, accessory and bundle have different product roles and contents. |
| Membership plans | Foundation and Advanced plans combine learning, community and events. | Enrollment state, plan names and access details can change; they are not notebook variants. |
The A5 Edition 2 combines book-like structure with method-specific page details.
The Notebook product page describes a hardcover with 120 gsm FSC-certified paper, 204 numbered dot-grid pages, a pocket guide, sticker set and grid guide, plus three bookmarks. The official notebook help article states 206 pages. Preserve each source’s wording and page context rather than treating “numbered pages” and “pages” as interchangeable. Its built-in Bullet Key, Index and Future Log are useful source-level fields; record them separately from general notebook attributes.

| Field group | Edition 2 listing detail | Why it matters in a record |
|---|---|---|
| Format | A5 size in the official help article; hardcover on the product page. | Distinguish size and cover construction from color. |
| Paper | 120 gsm; the page describes it as FSC-certified paper. | Keep the paper weight and the seller's certification wording with its source. |
| Method layout | Dot-grid pages, Bullet Key, Index, Future Log and a front-cover grid guide. | These features are specific to this official notebook edition, not a requirement of every bullet journal. |
| Included items | Pocket guide, sticker set and three bookmarks. | Store included contents as a list tied to Edition 2, not as separate notebook variants. |
| Page count | The product listing says 204 numbered pages; the Notebook help article says 206 pages. | Keep the number and label tied to its source; the sources do not explain the difference. |
The Pocket changes the physical format and is sold as a three-notebook set.
The Pocket is a soft-cover A6 notebook designed around a vertical “Portrait Mode” layout. The page says a pack contains three notebooks and lists 80 gsm paper, 10.5 × 14.4 cm dimensions, dot-grid pages, a sticker set and eight perforated pages. This makes set count and per-notebook attributes different fields.

| Attribute | Pocket listing | Comparison note |
|---|---|---|
| Physical format | A6 soft cover; listed size is 10.5 × 14.4 cm. | Do not substitute the A5 Notebook's dimensions or cover type. |
| Pack quantity | Three Pocket notebooks are included in each set. | Keep pack quantity distinct from the number of pages in one notebook. |
| Writing layout | The brand describes a full A5 writing area in a vertical orientation that folds to A6 size. | Attribute the “full A5 page” wording to the source's Portrait Mode description. |
| Paper and removable pages | 80 gsm paper and eight perforated pages are listed. | Record the removable-page feature separately from total or numbered-page claims. |
The Pocket page gives two different numbered-page counts.
The product details list 46 numbered pages, while a later description on the same product page says each of the 44 numbered pages has a dot-grid. The page does not explain the difference. Preserve both statements with their page context instead of silently selecting one count.

| Source location | Published wording | Safe treatment |
|---|---|---|
| Pocket Details list | “46 numbered pages.” | Keep as the page's details-field value and cite that listing. |
| Pocket Smart Pages description | “Each of the 44 numbered pages” has the described dot-grid. | Keep as a separate source statement; the page provides no reconciliation. |
| Perforated pages | The page separately says eight pages are perforated and removable. | Do not use perforation to infer which numbered-page total is correct. |
Keep standalone notebooks, accessories and bundles as separate catalog objects.
The official shop combines individual products with curated sets. Color belongs to the selected product option; the Gift Set and Stealth Set each have their own stated components, while the GuidePack is an accessory intended to add method references and stickers to a notebook of the buyer's choice.

| Catalog object | Source-specific contents | Relationship to preserve |
|---|---|---|
| The Notebook / The Pocket | Notebook format and product-specific color options; The Pocket page defines a three-book pack. | Do not treat a color option as a new notebook type or expand a three-pack into three distinct source listings without evidence. |
| Gift Set | The Notebook, The Pen and The Loop in a collector's box. | Retain the set's composition and color scope on the Gift Set page. |
| Stealth Set | A limited black Edition 2 notebook, black-finish pen and black loop in a collector's box. | Limited-run decoration does not change the underlying bundle into a standalone pen or loop. |
| GuidePack | An eight-page pocket guide, a sticker sheet with 100+ stickers and an intentionality card/poster. | This is a learning accessory, not a notebook edition or a complete bundle by default. |
Official method learning is available through distinct book, free and membership resources.
The official resources FAQ points learners to the Bullet Journal Method book, a free email introduction, and the Foundation Course inside the Foundation Plan. The FAQ calls that course the official course for learning the method. The current plans page names Foundation and Advanced; schedules, enrollment and prices can change and are omitted here.

| Resource | Official description | Do not conflate with |
|---|---|---|
| The Bullet Journal Method book | A book-length introduction to the method, listed separately from the product notebook. | The Foundation Course or a physical notebook SKU. |
| Free introduction | An email-based introduction to the method basics. | The complete paid Foundation Course. |
| Foundation Course / Plan | The official FAQ says the course is self-paced and is the official course for learning the method; the plan also includes membership elements. | A public physical product or a promise of lifetime access. |
| Advanced Plan | The current plans page describes live Advanced sessions, a Study Group and workshops alongside Foundation benefits. | A notebook variant or evergreen enrollment offer; its status and schedule can change. |
Example: retain provenance for a Pocket set instead of guessing a page total.
The Pocket listing, reviewed October 3, 2026, supplies this editorial example. Its two numbered-page statements remain separate because the source does not explain their relationship.

}Purchase and website policies differ between physical goods and membership access.
The current return-policy article gives separate terms for physical items and memberships. It allows sealed, unopened physical items to be returned within 60 days of purchase; the customer pays return shipping, and a refund or exchange follows warehouse receipt and scan. The article says annual Foundation Plan members may cancel within seven days by contacting support; afterward the plan is non-refundable, with access through the prepaid period. Its separate “Transformation Plan” rule refers to cancellation before a second live session, but that older label does not match the current Advanced plan and should not be applied to Advanced. Website Terms identify Lightcage, LLC and were last modified December 10, 2023.

| Boundary | What the official pages say | Catalog handling |
|---|---|---|
| Physical returns | Unopened items with the manufacturer’s seal may be returned within 60 days of purchase; customers pay return shipping, and the warehouse scan precedes refund or exchange. Opened items are not accepted; used/opened books are specifically excluded. | Do not generalize this to opened goods, every region or digital access. |
| Membership changes | Annual Foundation Plan members may cancel within seven days by contacting support; after that, it is non-refundable and access continues through the prepaid period. A separate Transformation Plan refund rule is legacy wording and does not establish current Advanced eligibility. | Keep policy version and plan identity together; verify live terms before quoting eligibility. |
| Customer and submitted content | The privacy policy describes order, billing and payment information; Website Terms also cover user-submitted material such as reviews or comments. | Do not copy customer reviews or imply access to private notebooks, orders or member spaces. |
| Automated access | The Terms restrict unauthorized content use and access but contain no explicit “scrape” or “automated” wording. The robots.txt request failed on October 3, 2026. | Do not infer collection or reuse permission from public visibility or an unverified robots response. |
| Terms and content reuse | Terms were last modified December 10, 2023. Purchased content is for personal, non-commercial use; other use requires prior written consent. | Attribute this scope to the posted Terms; it is not a statement about every jurisdiction or crawler permission. |
