AYN handheld data: Odin 3, Thor and Odin2 Portal
Compare AYN Odin 3, Thor and Odin2 Portal by chipset, screen, Android version, RAM, storage, battery, preorder state and purchase terms.
Three AYN handhelds, three different screen choices
AYN's Odin-family pages serve different buying questions: a newer single-screen Odin 3, a dual-screen Thor, and a larger-screen Odin2 Portal. This comparison uses official AYN product and homepage information checked October 3, 2026; the Portal hardware summary is homepage-attributed while its model/color choices come from its product selector. It compares published hardware only; it does not test game compatibility or performance.

| Model | AYN-published hardware | Useful comparison question |
|---|---|---|
| AYN Odin 3 | 6-inch 120Hz AMOLED; Qualcomm Dragonwing Q8; Android 15; 8000mAh; Hall sticks; 390g; UFS 3.1. | Do you want a 6-inch single-screen Android handheld with the current listing's newer Android version and high memory tier choices? |
| AYN Thor | 6-inch Full HD AMOLED primary screen plus 3.92-inch AMOLED lower display; Android 13; 6000mAh; Hall sticks. Lite uses Snapdragon 865; Base/Pro/Max use Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. | Is the second display central to the intended setup? Compare Lite separately because its listed processor differs from the other tiers. |
| Odin2 Portal | AYN's homepage lists Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 1080p 7-inch AMOLED touchscreen, Android 13, 8000mAh and Hall sticks; product selector offers Base/Pro/Max and Black/Indigo/White. | Would a 7-inch display matter more than Odin 3's listed Android version or Thor's second screen? Do not infer Portal memory tiers from another model. |
Preserve each memory tier as its own selected variant
The model selector changes more than color: AYN's Odin 3 and Thor pages map memory tiers to model names, and Thor's Lite tier also changes the listed chipset. The visible variant, not just the family title, is the comparison key. AYN states that Odin 3 and Thor ship without games preinstalled; do not turn hardware specifications into a claim about included game software.

| Product page | Visible model tiers | Variant-specific caution |
|---|---|---|
| Odin 3 | Base 8GB + 128GB; Pro 12GB + 256GB; Max 16GB + 512GB; Ultra 24GB + 1TB. | Colors shown include Black, White, Rainbow, Clear Blue and Clear Purple. Store the chosen RAM/storage tier and color with its variant URL or SKU. |
| Thor | Lite 8GB + 128GB (Snapdragon 865); Base 8GB + 128GB, Pro 12GB + 256GB, Max 16GB + 512GB or 1TB (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2). | The same 8GB + 128GB capacity appears in two chipset tiers. Model label and processor must stay together. |
| Odin2 Portal | Product selector displays Base, Pro and Max; the reviewed product text does not provide a reliable RAM/storage map for each tier. | Keep the visible choice but leave unverified tier-to-memory values absent until its exact model page states them. |
| All three product families | Selected color, displayed price/currency, stock or backorder wording and any batch label. | These are market- and time-dependent offer fields; do not merge a sibling color's status or a collection card's starting price into the selected variant. |
A preorder label, a batch estimate and a shipment range are different signals
As checked October 3, 2026, AYN's product titles still say Odin 3 Batch 8 Pre-order and Thor Batch 7 Pre-order. The reviewed selector states showed Base 8+128GB / Black for Odin 3 and Max 16+1TB / White for Thor as backordered. Both pages still display past-dated June/August batch estimates: Odin 3 says Batch 7 starts mid-June and Batch 8 in August; Thor says Batch 6 starts mid-June and Batch 7 in August. The public shipment dashboard has entries through September 29 overall, with its latest displayed Odin 3 ranges dated September 3. Keep each source date and signal separate; none gives a current delivery ETA or an individual customer's shipment status.

| AYN signal | Example from the reviewed page | What it does and does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Product title / selected variant | Odin 3 is titled Batch 8 Pre-order and Thor Batch 7 Pre-order. Reviewed selector states: Odin 3 Base 8+128GB / Black and Thor Max 16+1TB / White displayed backordered wording. | Capture the exact title, selected model/color, wording and observation date. A batch label or selected-variant backorder is not order-level tracking or a ship ETA. |
| Estimated batch notice | Odin 3 page text: Batch 7 shipping starts mid-June; Batch 8 in August. Thor page text: Batch 6 starts mid-June; Batch 7 in August. All four schedule dates had passed by the October 3 review. | Keep the model-specific batch numbers and copied source dates attached to their page. Treat this unchanged text as past-dated, not as a current delivery estimate. |
| Shipping dashboard | Dashboard entries run through September 29, 2026; that date lists Thor Black Base 2890xx–2952xx. Latest displayed Odin 3 ranges are dated September 3, including Black Base 2845xx–2959xx. | These are public, dated aggregate model/color/tier ranges, not an individual's order confirmation. A later missing row does not establish that no later shipment occurred. |
| Shipping policy | AYN says preorder orders ship according to the estimated time and gives separate carrier estimates. | Keep order processing, carrier transit, taxes, shipping fees and current dashboard evidence separate. |
Compare return eligibility, warranty and landed cost separately
AYN's Odin 3 and Thor product pages state a one-year warranty. The separate refund policy gives 15 days after receipt to request a return and requires the item to remain in the same condition, unused, tagged and in its original packaging, with proof of purchase; it excludes sale items and gift cards. The shipping policy says displayed product prices exclude shipping and taxes. Recheck the selected product and destination at checkout; these policy fields affect cost and return eligibility differently.

| Buying condition | AYN's posted statement reviewed | How to record it |
|---|---|---|
| Warranty | Odin 3 and Thor product pages each state a one-year warranty. | Retain the exact model page, policy wording and purchase context; do not extend the statement to accessories or every past device. |
| Return request window | Refund policy says a return must be requested within 15 days after receipt, with the item in the same condition, unused, tagged and in original packaging, plus proof of purchase. | Keep the request window, condition, tags, package, proof-of-purchase and request process distinct; do not treat it as warranty duration. |
| Sale item | The refund policy says sale items and gift cards cannot be returned. | Check whether the exact selected option is marked on sale; a product-family policy summary alone may not resolve a variant's eligibility. |
| Shipping and taxes | AYN says displayed prices exclude shipping and taxes; the amount depends on destination and selected delivery service. | Keep item price, shipping charge, taxes/duties and checkout total in separate currency-bearing fields; avoid static duty rates or guaranteed transit dates. |
Use firmware links only for the matching device and build
AYN's Software page currently lists Windows drivers for Loki variants and M0/M2 recovery packages for Odin Base/Pro/256 and Odin Lite. Its note identifies the recovery files as Odin 1 support, says to select M0 or M2 by device build, and limits use to failed OTA updates or recovery after flashing a third-party OS; an Odin 1 device working normally via OTA does not need them. The page does not list a matching Odin 3, Thor or Odin2 Portal package. Match exact model generation, build and instructions before referring to a support file.

| Software evidence | Source-specific detail | Safe comparison boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Older Odin recovery firmware | AYN lists M0/M2 packages for Odin Base/Pro/256 and Odin Lite and says to select by build number; the accompanying note scopes them to Odin 1 recovery after a failed OTA or third-party OS flash. | Keep the supported Odin 1 model/build, file label and instruction URL together; normal OTA use does not require these recovery files. |
| Loki Windows drivers | AYN lists separate packages for Loki Zero, MiniPro, 6600U and Max 6800U. | Do not infer driver support for an Android Odin/Thor handheld from a Loki Windows package. |
| Newer Odin 3, Thor and Portal | The reviewed Software page has no matching packages for these current models. | Leave firmware availability unverified rather than treating a general support link as model-specific compatibility. |

| Information class | Boundary in AYN's posted terms | Treatment on this page |
|---|---|---|
| Public model and policy details | Public visibility does not itself override the Terms of Service §12 restrictions on spidering, crawling or scraping. | Keep the model name, selected configuration, source link and review date together. |
| Private customer data | AYN prohibits collecting or tracking other people's personal information. | Do not include customer names, order numbers, accounts or identifiable support messages in public examples. |
| A specific order's status | The dashboard contains aggregate model/color/order-number ranges, not a customer's authorized private order record. | Keep dashboard examples aggregated and dated; direct customers to AYN's own tracking/contact channels for their order. |
