Aventon e-bike product data: models, specs and fit
Compare Aventon models, motor and battery specs, range conditions, published fit, cargo limits, certifications and connected-service terms.
Match the exact Aventon model, option and market
Aventon’s current U.S.-facing product pages separate models by frame and option controls. Aventure 3 exposes step-over/step-through plus Regular/Large sizes; Aventure M exposes Regular/Large sizes and colors. Product imagery may expose SKU strings, while a selected storefront URL can carry its own variant token. Keep the source model, selected option, identifiers and market together instead of using a family name or URL token as a substitute for the exact item.

| Catalog field | What the current listing shows | Preserve separately |
|---|---|---|
| Model and generation | Aventure 3, Aventure M and Abound LR are separate product records. | Keep suffix, exact product URL, model page and review date. |
| Frame and size option | Aventure 3 offers step-over/step-through and Regular/Large; Aventure M offers Regular/Large. | Store the selected frame and size only when explicitly visible; do not transfer options between models. |
| Color and SKU | Color choices and image text can expose SKU groups; the pages do not make every image SKU-to-option mapping explicit in text. | Record the manufacturer SKU only when its selected option is established. Do not infer it from an image group or Shopify variant token. |
| Storefront variant token | The product URL may include a `variant=` identifier for the selected storefront option. | Keep this URL token as a storefront identifier, not as Aventon’s manufacturer SKU. |
| Market and offer | Product pages can show changing price, currency, availability and included/optional accessories. | Tie any authorized observation to the U.S. storefront, selected option and timestamp; this guide has no live offer or inventory value. |
Aventure 3 and Aventure M use different drive systems
The current listings give these two fat-tire models the same 733Wh battery but different motors, output labels, classes and advertised range. Record each specification under its exact model. Aventon’s two product pages currently show the same range-test wording, so preserve the note separately beside each model’s estimate; neither maximum is a real-world range promise.

|---|---|---|
| Drive system | 750W rear hub motor. | Aventon A100 mid-drive. |
| Rated or sustained output | 750W motor rating. | 250W sustained. |
| Peak or Boost output | 1,440W in Boost Mode, up to 30 seconds; distinct from its 750W motor rating. | 750W peak; do not relabel it as sustained output or Aventure 3 Boost. |

| Listed class | Class 2. | Class 1. Aventon separately describes an optional, separately sold throttle and app class configuration; record any chosen configuration and market separately. |
| Advertised maximum range | Up to 65 miles. | Up to 85 miles. |
| Aventure 3 estimate note | 165 lb rider; flat paved road; Eco Mode; default Ride Tune. Actual range varies with rider weight, terrain, weather, tire pressure and cadence. | Not this model’s field; keep each estimate and source footnote model-scoped. |
| Aventure M estimate note | Not this model’s field; keep each estimate and source footnote model-scoped. | 165 lb rider; flat paved road; Eco Mode; default Ride Tune. Actual range varies with rider weight, terrain, weather, tire pressure and cadence. |
Keep published fit and certification evidence model-specific
The product pages show model-level rider-height ranges and geometry, while a height-entry widget may produce an individual size suggestion. Preserve published specifications as they appear; do not turn the widget into a personal recommendation or catalog fact. Certification links also have distinct scopes: a battery certificate does not establish the complete bike’s certification, and a linked certificate’s model name must remain visible.

| Evidence field | Aventon page evidence | Record boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Aventure 3 fit | Regular is shown for 5'3"–5'10" and Large for 5'10"–6'4"; frame geometry is published separately. | Keep size label, height range, frame style, units and product generation together. |
| Aventure M fit | Regular is shown for 5'3"–5'10" and Large for 5'10"–6'4"; geometry rows distinguish Regular and Large. | Do not transfer Aventure 3 geometry or infer fit for another rider. |
| Aventure 3 battery safety | Product specification lists battery UL 2271; Aventon’s safety page links a bike certificate under the Aventure 3 entry, and the linked PDF’s model designation reads “AVENTURE.” | Keep the battery claim and linked certificate as separate evidence; do not map the PDF to every Aventure 3 option without a matching identifier. |
| Aventure M safety | Product and safety pages list UL 2271 for the battery and UL 2849 for the e-bike system; the linked certificate names AVENTURE M. | Store certificate scope, exact listed model and certificate URL. |
| Abound LR safety | The product page lists battery and e-bike safety certifications; Aventon’s linked certificate identifies Abound LR and Abound SR. | Do not generalize the certificate to other cargo models or variants. |
Abound LR load limits and battery compatibility are separate fields
Aventon’s Abound LR page lists a 440 lb Total Weight Limit and a separate 143 lb Rear Rack Weight Limit. Aventon’s cargo-bike guide defines the 440 lb total payload as rider, passengers and cargo combined; that is a gross payload limit, while the rack value is a component load limit. Neither number is a rear-seat or passenger rating. The product page also names cross-model battery compatibility, which should not be extended to accessories or other batteries.

| Abound LR field | Current manufacturer evidence | Keep separate from |
|---|---|---|
| Gross total payload | 440 lb. Product specs label it “Total Weight Limit”; Aventon’s cargo guide says total payload combines rider, passengers and cargo. | A passenger seat rating, rack capacity or an amount of cargo available after rider weight. |
| Rear rack limit | 143 lb Rear Rack Weight Limit. | The bike-wide total payload or a passenger/rear-seat limit. |
| Frame fit | One size, step-through; listed rider-height range 4'11"–6'3". | Personal fit advice or an Aventure model size. |
| Battery compatibility | The Abound LR battery is listed as compatible with Abound SR, Aventure 3, Level 3 and Pace 4. | Accessory compatibility, battery voltage matches or models not named in the source. |
| Accessories | Product pages identify included items and model-specific optional cargo accessories. | A claim that a child carrier, seat, basket or rail is included or fits without its own source evidence. |
Keep connected-service terms apart from the bike specification
Aventure 3 and Aventure M product footnotes state that a complimentary first year of 4G begins on product service registration and that a paid subscription is required afterward for covered features. Product pages describe GPS, security and ride features, but owner location, account details and ride history are personal/app data, not public catalog fields. Keep the service term tied to the named model and current page.

| Connected field | What the product page states | Catalog boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Supported bike features | Aventure 3 and Aventure M pages describe ACU, GPS and connected security functions. | A feature shown on one named product does not apply to every Aventon model. |
| Included service term | First-year 4G starts at product service registration; paid service is required after the first year for covered features. | Preserve the start trigger, model, market and service term; do not call it permanent or lineup-wide. |
| Private owner data | Aventon’s Privacy Policy describes geolocation data; product pages also describe ride-related app functions. | Do not treat account, device, live location or ride history as public product attributes. |
Read Aventon’s posted Terms beside any product record
Aventon’s Terms page displays an effective date of May 21, 2021 and asks users to review the Terms for changes. Section 3 describes personal/noncommercial use and restricts commercial use of the Services, scraping-based distribution or disclosure, high-rate automated access, bypassing access controls and harvesting information about identifiable people. The Proprietary Rights section restricts copying and distribution, with a narrow one-copy exception for specific content or software used for personal, noncommercial home use under its conditions. This attributes the posted text; it is not a legal interpretation. Aventon’s robots.txt did not load in this review; no robots permission is inferred.

| Access evidence | Posted source statement | Boundary for this guide |
|---|---|---|
| Displayed Terms date | The Terms page states “Effective Date: May 21, 2021” and describes how changes are posted. | Call this the displayed effective date, not a last-updated date. |
| Content use | The Proprietary Rights section allows one copy of specific content or software for personal, noncommercial home use under its conditions; other content use requires written permission. Section 3 separately limits the Services to personal/noncommercial use. | The narrow personal-use exception does not authorize catalog reuse or bulk collection; do not make a legal conclusion. |
| Scraping and automated access | Section 3 names automated and non-automated scraping in a distribution/disclosure restriction and separately limits robot/spider access that sends more requests than a human can reasonably send with a conventional browser. | Do not generalize the request-rate clause into a blanket statement about every automated request. |
| Identifiable-person data | Section 3 prohibits harvesting information about identified or identifiable individuals; the Privacy Policy discusses geolocation data. | Do not collect owner or rider identity, device or location data as catalog fields. |
| Robots and integrations | A direct robots.txt request returned an internal error on 2026-10-03. The reviewed product pages do not document a public bulk catalog API. | Robots directives were unavailable for review; no crawler guidance was observed. |
